Heavy bench day..Was hoping for 231, but I'll take 226 (even though I freaked out paused for like .5 seconds). Strength has been feeling good, but 3 meets in 6 months has me at FEELING IT NOW MR KRABS level of fatigue. @ayyee_jayy_ with the spots🤜🤛, last set I told him I didn't want to see his face (dont stand over me), so he didn't, but his mug all up in my video tho😮‍💨

S: 200 kg // 441 lb
B: 100 kg // 221 lb
D: 172.5 kg // 380 lb
Total: 472.5 kg // 1042 lb
DOTS: 451.1

This meet started as just an SBD with no marrs bar back downs for squats, and turned into so much more to me. It proved that I can do it. Going into this meet, I failed my last warm up on squat 1 week prior, which was 180 kg // 397 lb. This was my first squat fail in at least a year maybe more and it’s a weight I’ve hit for reps and singles multiple times. It made me question what I would be able to hit on the platform. Doubt was so heavy but the taper tapered & @thecertifiedstrength cooked. Bench for the most part stayed reliable all prep, I was aiming to match my gym best of 232 lb, but 220 was my max on the day. My back was cramping hard for all 3 attempts so I’m happy with a meet pr :)

I was genuinely more confident in deadlift than squat going into the meet and the outcomes ended up flipping lol. I worked really hard the past couple weeks on my positioning and patience off the floor and I had one of my best deadlift sessions last week. I was very excited to maybe PR on the platform but it just wasn’t there on the day. I’m really excited to focus on it this off season!

Since the end of February I’ve been working with @phamishedcoach to lose weight in a sustainable and enjoyable way without losing my strength. My number one priority when hiring him was to maintain my strength while losing weight and we were able to execute that exactly and actually enjoy the process. I have only ever cut to make weight as a 75 kg in the past and i was always so grumpy and fatigued doing that. This time around has been so redemptive.

If you made it this far hi heheh also of course have to thank Malcolm for his continuous belief in me. Through his coaching, cues, programming, feedback I was able to add 28 lbs to my total since December at a body weight 7.1 lbs lower, also putting 11 onto my best DOTS score from 2025 nats and 21 onto my DOTS score in December. None of this is possible without you❤️

Thank you sploaders, refs, @lbnstrength @teamgpt for making the meet happen and run smoothly. It was such a fun day surrounded by so many supportive people and friends.

Today's program was for a top triple squat. I knew I wanted to go for 363, but was not expecting it to move so well. Coach's directions said my jumps had to be at least 7.5kg, so 380 went on the bar. I think I was spot on for the programmed RPE 9. Coach said he was good with it since I didnt "overshoot like always"😮‍💨. Gym was packed today and full of good vibes, I think I absorbed all that good energy. Plus I shared a rack with @ayyee_jayy_, he low key bullied me into all my attempts😏 and also the squat queen @abbyswolee told me my squats were too light, soo💅🏼 k bye

Competed in my 6th powerlifting meet. Another @teamgpt invitational run by Ryan Gleason and team. Squat went very well with all 9 white lights. I hit an all time PR of 200 kg or 441 lbs. Bench moved better than it ever has hitting a new all time PR of 192 lbs or 87.5 kg. Also received 9/9 white lights on Bench. Deadlift went decently well, but had to really grind for a new all time PR of 523.68 lbs. I received a red light on one side for hitching, but with 2/3 white lights my deadlift counted towards my total. With PR lifts in all three lifts this is the best total so far with a total of 525 kg or 1,157 lbs. This is also the shortest powerlifting prep that Brian has ever programmed for me so I am really impressed with his ability to get me so ready to perform so well on the platform. I had such a blast competing with my fellow @teamgpt members. I am switching back to strongman for another show in February at Steel Beach, but it was nice to be reminded how much fun powerlifting can be. I want to thank the talented team of spotters/loaders for keeping all of the athletes safe. I want to thank Ryan Gleason for running another efficient meet. I want to thank the judges for making sure lifts are up to club standard. Last but certainly not least I want to thank @brian_gpt for doing an amazing job handling me and pushing me to lift so much weight.

Team GPT invitational 2025
Coach @teamgpt wanted me to go conservative because the Arnold is in 9 weeks, but let's be honest, conservative just isn't in my nature lol.
This was a train thru meet, no prep/peaking, I even cut 6 lbs in the last week (1.5 of that was morning of with the help of jolly ranchers, iykyk). I had no real expectations for the day as I haven't lifted super heavy since Nats (except bench). I knew my openers were fairly conservative, but the plan was to make big jumps. Coach and I have been working on bigger jumps in training to prepare me for the platform, and its definitely helped ,"Do you hear me, I'm not afraid anymore."
Stats for the day
Squat: 341/363/386✅️
Bench: 204/220✅️231🔴
Deadlift: 391/418/441✅️
Total: 475 Bodyweight PR
Dots: 423 With age:444
The day was especially special because my daughter @kimchigymchi competed as well🩷 and my son @jabaris_pictures was the photographer💙
Big thanks to @danbaez_gpt for all the help and making sure our warm ups ran smoothly, and @certifiedaverageee for all your help too. Thank you to all the spotters/loaders, refs, volunteers, and even our MC @ayyee_jayy_, even though he kept calling me mother goose🫠😆.
Next up, The Arnold in March.
