The analog tones permeate the darkness and will anchor you to the floor at 915 Dupont for a special Halloween edition of INSIDE OUT this month.

I welcome back one of my favourite co-conspirators, DINAMO AZARI. He is a cosmic force behind the decks, a dark disco deviant, some might even say he’s the reason why house is haunted...

Together we are bringing you a wicked recipe for your ears, feet and hopefully(?) you don’t lose your head in the process...

We start the music at 9 PM, costumes are recommended, but not required - and so is arriving early... you wouldn’t want to turn into a pumpkin, right?

$100 prize for best costume

$15 before 10 PM / $20 after

168DSR pre-save now: Krux by .VRIL (@vril_01) on @delsinrecords.

Krux is the crucial point, the moment where everything converges. Thirteen tracks built on the foundation of his dub-driven sound, and for the first time he works closely with friends and fellow musicians: @renewise on Wave Collapse (slide 3), @ateq_music on Wunschtrauma (slide 4), @azari_spaceway on In The Noise We Found A Signal (slide 5), @aurorahalal on Zukunft Von Gestern (slide 6), @verraco__ on Rüyam (slide 7). Daniel Martin Diaz frames it again. Gatefold 2xLP, with a limited gold marbled pressing.

The name comes from Sumerian, where it means the force that binds the universe. Ulli Hammann has recorded under it since 2011, when Giegling released his first record, and has been with Delsin since Vortekz in 2014. Anima Mundi was his last album for them, in 2018. He has also released on Semantica, left Hannover for Lisbon, and plays live as part of Speedy J's STOOR collective.

I stopped by Gigli cafe today to play my all time favourite piano piece by his majesty, Frédéric Chopin. Etude in Ab(Aeolian Harp). I always play Chopin on my birthday 😌

Come by @paintedladyossington tomorrow from 3-5 to hear a lot of Chopin and who knows what else?! Always beautiful surprises at our weekly community piano jam. Come and play, listen, or both!!

I first heard the French Canadian group, Flore Laurentienne about three years ago. Their sound was immediately comforting to me. Warm, lush harmonic writing that is both unexpected and familiar. Their writing is rooted in the classical tradition while embracing a neoclassical, modern sound. A unique setup combining a string quartet with multiple synthesizers and keyboards and adding percussion to their most recent album.
They just came to Toronto last weekend and it was a truly amazing, mesmerizing show. Thanks @wellsaid for the tickets!
This track, Petit Piano is one that I always have ready for my Bach to the Future events. The pulsing rhythm mixed with sweeping strings just hits right. Hania Rani’s, Eden flows beautifully from the dramatic ending.

Come hear this mix and so many other unexpected sounds tomorrow night from 8-12 at Pamenar in Kensington.
