This is Riya Paswan , a fearless daughter of Bihar, from the Dalit community. Her mother is a daily wage laborer, her brother works as a porter but Riya didn’t let poverty define her. For the past two years, she’s been fighting against drug abuse, organizing women, and raising her voice against police corruption through @shaktiabhiyan under the Congress banner. But maybe this system just couldn’t tolerate a strong Dalit girl speaking truth to power. Last night at 3 AM, the police broke into her home. Riya, her sister, her pregnant sister-in-law, and her mother were brutally beaten. Riya tried to record a video as evidence but the police forced her to delete it. Her only crime that she dared to speak out. Riya is not alone. This time, the Congress party stands firmly with her and we will not stop until she gets justice. #JusticeForRiya #RiyaPaswan #DalitWomenMatter #BiharNews #CongressWithRiya #WomenResist #SpeakTruthToPower #EndPoliceBrutality #BiharKiBeti #NoToGundaraj #ShaktiAbhiyan

This is Riya , a fearless, aware, and determined young woman from Bihar who dreamed of freeing her community from drugs. For the past two years, she had been mobilizing women through the Indian Youth Congress’s Shakti campaign, raising her voice against the nexus between police and crime, demanding CCTV cameras for safety. But the system couldn't handle her courage. Last night at 3 AM, Bihar police broke into her home. Riya was beaten. Her pregnant sister-in-law was assaulted. Her sister was thrashed. Even her laborer mother was not spared. The excuse? Looking for her father who died 8 years ago. The real reason? Riya stood against the police-criminal nexus. She empowered women to fight drugs. She demanded surveillance for public safety. Riya had recorded everything but police forced her to delete the evidence. This isn’t just an attack on Riya’s privacy it’s an attack on a democratic voice for justice.

Another shameful act by Bihar Police. Last night at 3 AM, police forcibly entered the home of Riya Paswan and brutally assaulted her pregnant sister-in-law, her sister, and their mother who works as a daily wage labourer. Riya’s brother is a porter, and Riya herself has been actively working at the grassroots for social change through the Congress-led Shakti Abhiyan for the past two years. Not only did the police barge into their home and assault the women, they also forcibly deleted the video evidence of the incident. This is the state of law and order under the so-called #GuNDAraj government! The Congress Party stands firmly with Bihar’s daughter. We will not tolerate this injustice and will fight for justice on every platform.
