We have past 1 full month on the road, and so far we have been to 9 states and territories in Mexico (with more to go)! Look for the photo dump in the last 2 slides… warning long caption!

A recap of days 20-28. After getting off the ferry from Baja, our first stop was the state of Nayarit. Our first night we spent in San Blas, where we saw crocodiles on the way in, it was a nice quiet town.

Afterwards we made our way along the coast to Sayulita and San Pancho (then Puerto Vallarta but the other 2 destinations were our favourites). We saw lots of Canadian/American tourists lol, but for good reason! Both towns were amazing.

Once we got to Puerto Vallarta we entered a new state, Jalisco. We saw a few new towns and experienced so much in such a short time there! We went to San Sebastián, Mascota (my favourite hotel was here, the town had the best tacos and cobblestone streets everywhere!), Talpa de Allende, Guadalajara and Chapala, to name a few! Guadalajara and Lago de Chapala were highlights, Guadalajara was a dream city. The people were incredibly kind and helpful at the Triumph dealer and at the custom bike shop/cafe @azfercafe, not to mention the city offered lots to see and do! When we left Guadalajara we went to Lago de (Lake) Chapala, the ride along the lake was very cool and stunning! We went through towns that were single lane, having to navigate around buses and other vehicles going the opposite direction 😬

Leaving Jalisco, we entered Michoacán. The city Zamora and Lago de Camécuaro National Park were our first destinations! The park was beautiful and serene. We got to camp there and have the park to ourselves overnight. We had breakfast with the resident ducks. Visited Patzcuaro, a Pueblo Magico town (we’ve been to a lot of Pueblo Magicos, some I’ve already listed in this post)! We ended this day arriving in Morelia.

Although we only stayed 1 night in Morelia, we did have time to explore the Centro (downtown), including Callejón del Romance, a beautiful tourist attraction near the heart of Morelia, offering a picture perfect little stroll. We left Morelia to go to CDMX (aka Mexico City). Lots more to come… Mexico City might get its own post!
