Hindustan Contessa Bonnet Restoration — Back to Bare Metal!

Hello friends! Today, we’re working on the bonnet of our Hindustan Contessa.

Once we removed the bonnet and stripped the old paint, we discovered something we couldn’t see from the outside — multiple dents covered with layers of old putty.

So, we decided to take it all the way back to bare metal and start fresh. Now, we’re using a spot/dot puller to carefully bring the damaged areas back to the correct level and shape.

No shortcuts. No hiding the imperfections.
Just proper bodywork to bring this legendary Contessa closer to its original factory finish.

We Found Rust Where We Least Expected It! 🔧

Tata Estate Restoration — Every Detail Matters.

Restoration work always comes with a few surprises.

While working on the Tata Estate, we found rust and bulging on the lower section of the rear right door. Instead of replacing the entire door, we decided to repair it properly and preserve the original piece.

The rusted metal was carefully cut out, and a new Japan sheet was fabricated and welded into place. The door was then reshaped to bring it back to its original form and fitted back onto the car.

Step by step, piece by piece, this legendary Tata Estate is coming back to life. ❤️🔧
