Farm Life
Gouache and acrylic on paper
29.7 x 42 cm

‘Farm Life’ is a gouache art piece inspired by my friend’s remote farm in the Westfjords, where I had the privilege to spend for a few summer days!

I learnt how to milk cows, feed her sheep, and we explored the wild Icelandic landscape under the midnight sun.

This piece features also traditional turf houses, grazing cattle and sheep an arctic tern flying in the pink midnight sky, and native Icelandic flora like moss, lupines, moss campion, alpine lady’s mantle, and mountain avens 🌸

🐝 Farm Life also draws spiritual inspiration from Surah An-Nahl (“The Bees”) - a chapter in the Qur’an that speaks of nature’s blessings, livestock, and sustenance.

Haga
Gouache and acrylic on paper
21 x 27.9 cm

Inspired by my cosy autumn days in Haga, the historic old town of Gothenburg, this gouache piece captures the beauty of Swedish fika culture.

Fika is more than just coffee, it’s the Swedish tradition of pausing to enjoy a warm drink, sweet cinnamon or cardamom buns, and a moment of calm.

When I was studying journalism in Gothenburg, I often found myself at the cafes in Haga. Cafe Husaren had one of the best kanelbullar and kardemummabullar the city has to offer. They even have these enormous ones!

As we mark the end of the FIFA World Cup 2026 - Congratulations Spain! @sefutbol 🇪🇸 🏆

I wanted to share Island Dreamers my oil painting submitted to the 2026 Football Art Prize @parkerharrisco where selected works will be showcased at the @nationalfootballmuseum in Manchester.

Island Dreamers by visual artist Azraa Muthy tells the story of three boys at playing football Tamarin Bay in Mauritius. Inspired by my nephews, young aspiring footballers from the Mauritian diaspora, dreaming of one day playing on football’s biggest stage

This painting feels even more meaningful now. For the first time in history, we’ve seen a small island nation, Cabo Verde, represent itself at the FIFA World Cup! a reminder that no dream is too big, no matter where you come from.

Although Island Dreamers wasn’t shortlisted, I’m incredibly proud of this piece, and it’s now available for purchase. If you’d like to support a local artist, collector, or independent painter, send me a DM. 🎨⚽

The Enlightened city of Madinah, located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia inspired my painting The Green Dome of Madinah.

This city unlike any place on earth or perhaps only Jerusalem has an unshakable sense of peace and quiet.

In my painting, I tried to capture the beautiful green dome, also the resting place of our beloved Muhammad PBUH, the gorgeous Nabawi Mosque and all its intricate architecture and iconic fans.

In the distance, you can find the date palms of the famous Ajwa dates and Mount Uhud- a hill with too many stories. The painting also features a subtle but important sign pointing towards Quba Mosque built in the 7th century, and thought to be the first mosque in the world after the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Makkah to Madinah.

Have you been to Madinah? 🕌🌴

Cappadocia in Winter in Türkiye
Gouache on paper

Cappadocia is one of my favourite places I’ve ever visited, filled with happy memories and endless inspiration.

This gouache piece is inspired by dreamy winter mornings in Göreme, my curious cats lounges on patterned Turkish carpets, ancient caves and mosques in the distance, steaming glasses of çay close at hand, and colourful balloons drifting over the valleys at sunrise. ✨

London in winter in Gouache on paper

Capturing the month of December, my favourite time to see London and featuring a festive Regent Street, St James’s Square, and Fortnum & Mason in Winter.

Beneath the glow of Regent Street’s iconic angel lights, the bustling streets of London sparkle under a wintry night sky.
