Chasing the Good Weather pt.1 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🌦

[🇮🇹Versione ITA nei commenti⬇️]

Last spring, we started a new journey with only one goal: escaping the cold in search of good weather. Well…let's just say it didn't exactly go as we planned! 😅

Despite the constant rain and low temperatures, we decided to keep going toward Sicily. Looking back at everything we experienced, we couldn't have made a better choice.

With every pedal stroke, we noticed how the nature around us changed. We discovered how the food in every region was so different, yet so delicious 😋. We heard the dialects change naturally, moving from a Tuscan "le porte di ‘hasa’ mia sono sempre aperte per voi" (the doors of my home are always open for you) to a Neapolitan "o’ vulite nu’ cafè?" (do you want a coffee?) ☕

We crossed this magnificent land from the center to the south. Despite the many differences, we noticed one thing everyone had in common: the desire to make you feel at home 🫂.

In the places where we stopped, we were welcomed like family. We had the chance to live unique experiences, like staying with a community of nuns and a church community, tasting the real Florentine steak, smelling the lemons of Capri, and discovering hidden gems of Gela.

This trip allowed us to visit old friends we hadn't seen in a long time; it was a dive into the past that brought back memories we had almost forgotten 💛

We originally called this trip "Chasing the Good Weather," but thinking back, the right title should have been: "Chasing Beautiful Memories."
