Where do I even start? 🥹

Thank you, @nasapsli , for an intentional, impactful, and unforgettable experience.

As a first-time attendee, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I came with one goal: to leave with something that would make me a better student leader and servant leader. What I left with, though, was so much more.

This past week’s institute was nothing short of extraordinary, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the sessions, networking opportunities, activities, advisors, students, Tribe work, and everything in between, I gained lifelong skills, friendships, memories, mentors, and experiences that have transformed, empowered, enhanced, and equipped me to be the leader God has called me to be.

Every moment mattered. Every person added value. Everything and everyone were absolutely incredible, and I am so thankful for this amazing experience.

I’m also extremely excited, honored, and grateful to serve as a NASAP SLI INFLUENCER!!!! 🎉 Special shoutout to my Podcasters/Interviewer Family—you all are the absolute BEST! ❤️🎙️

I also want to sincerely thank @milescollege (Student Activities & Affairs @miles_student_life @miles_sga ) for not only entrusting me with the opportunity and responsibility to serve our campus and community, but also for allowing me to proudly represent Miles College at NASAP SLI. What an absolute honor and privilege it is to represent the best HBCU! Trust me, I do not take this opportunity lightly, nor do I take it for granted.

And a BIG special thank you to the best advisors ever!!! Y’all seriously rock 🎸🫶🏾 @leonfparker3 @terisanders

I am so grateful for this newfound community and, honestly, a little sad that all good things must come to an end. Still, I am hopeful, excited, and eager to see all the amazing things our delegations, administrations, and courts will accomplish—both together and as the incredible individual leaders that each of us are. 🫶🏾

Never forget your impact. 🤍

Presenting at the 29th NASAP Student Leadership Institute this year on the topic “Content With Purpose: The Power of Media & Creativity in Student Leadership” forced me into reflection on my journey and just how far I’ve come, not only personally, but in the lives I’ve been blessed to impact along the way.

When you’re constantly moving, creating, building, and chasing the next opportunity, you rarely stop to truly sit in your work.

I’m always thinking about the next level, the next idea, the next way to grow. But being back in this space, now as an advisor surrounded by so many hungry, passionate young leaders, shifted something in me.

It reminded me why I started.
It reminded me that leadership is bigger than titles.
It reminded me that creativity has purpose.

And most importantly, it reminded me that giving back matters.
Yesterday’s content session was more than just creating videos and capturing moments, it was a reflection of growth, purpose, and legacy in real time.

A special thank you to Dr. Molock for extending this opportunity to me and for continuously pushing me outside of my comfort zone and into spaces designed for growth. Having someone in my corner who constantly challenges me to uphold a high standard and go above and beyond has truly shaped me into the leader and creative I am becoming.

And thank you to every single attendee who showed up, engaged, supported, and poured into the room. Your energy, attentiveness, and willingness to learn reminded me why these spaces matter so much. A special shoutout to my DSU family as well, I’ll always have love for my Hornets. ❤️💙🐝

Grateful for every lesson, every connection, every opportunity, and every person who continues to pour into me as I pour back into others.

We’re becoming… one lesson at a time. ✨

This concept struck my brain while watching the movie “The Hate You Give”. After, I then seen a tiktok posted by @m1rales_ and that gave me confirmation to create this shoot. The movie itself has a very strong message and has taught me so much about myself, if you have never seen it nor read the book I definitely recommend you to do so! This was very important to me because Ive always liked to advocate what I felt is right, I felt like this would relay a message that everyone could feel and hear. Sometimes as small voices in this huge society some of our advocate ways go unheard/unnoticed. I wanted to say everything I was thinking at that time through my work.

I want to thank everyone who has taken their time and helped me see my idea come to life. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation! You are appreciated!
