Suffering from Memories dir. Jelana ter Brugge

a sound. a smell. a word. a touch. a place.
suddenly you’re nowhere and everywhere at once. no linear time. no control. flashbacks wearing different faces.

Trapped between the echoes of her past.

🇮🇹/🇬🇧

Art director Bos Nooij and photographer Sonjay Williams present the project BOYS WILL BE BOYS, highlighting the masculine energy that still characterizes the world of football today, along with its aesthetic.

With BOYS WILL BE BOYS, the duo aimed to challenge this perspective by showcasing the beauty of the game through intimate shots, far from the conventional images we’re used to seeing. What do you think?

Football is a form of art, football players are artists, but football culture is always associated with a culture of strong masculinity. BOYS WILL BE BOYS challenges this idea by showing the game’s beauty in intimate shots and portraits of a football player in action.
