We spent three weeks traveling through Oregon and Washington in July, and @fivestarsfamilyburger absolutely had to be on our list of things to do! We discovered this little gem three years ago thanks to our son and daughter-in-law, and we loved it so much that we visited twice on that trip. Three years later and…we visited twice again! 😂

The burgers are THAT good. Five Stars makes about 120 burgers a day, and when they’re out, they’re out. This is definitely not fast food. Everything is made to order, and it takes a little time — but trust me, it is worth the wait! Pro tip: Call ahead and place your order. They’ll give you a time to pick it up, which makes the whole experience much easier.

The first time we visited, we noticed their wall covered with license plates from all over the country. We looked and looked, but there wasn’t a Pennsylvania plate. So this time, my husband came prepared! He brought one of our Pennsylvania license plates with us, and Gold Star, David’s son, had us autograph it before putting it up on the wall with all the others. Now there’s a little piece of Pennsylvania hanging on the wall at Five Stars Family Burger!

If you find yourself anywhere near Cornelius, Oregon, put this one on your list.
