The dress in the window light. Your mother’s hands on the last button. The quiet before everything begins. And because there are two of us at every Heritage House wedding, both sides of the morning are covered at once. While one of us is with you, the other is across town or across the hall, keeping the other half of the story. Neither of you misses the other’s morning. The camera matters far less than people think. NWA. Thanks to @craftandtailored, I’ve taken my first step into vintage with this 1970s @favreleuba, one of the oldest names in watchmaking. This piece caught me with its brushed steel tank case, vibrant blue dial, and elongated Roman numerals. Winding the mechanical movement is a reminder of just how tactile and personal vintage watches can feel. Special thanks to @alwayswatchcollectors for sharing the story behind this piece, sourced from a collector in France, and the passion behind what they do. “Sway” by @therollingstones, also released in the 1970s, is one of their most underrated tracks. It is driven by incredible guitar work and the lines: “Did you ever wake up to find / A day that broke up your mind / Destroyed your notion of circular time?”. This feels especially fitting, both for a rectangular case and a reflection on how time can lose its structure, much like the way a vintage watch invites you to experience it differently.
