Squish ❤️💜🩷

In the painting, a figure in shiny red shoes is stepping on a snake and squishing it. The snake represents danger or forces of evil, so the character is destroying anything that intends to bring her harm. Despite the figure’s cute appearance, her sheer size allows her to stomp on any troubles and protect others. The painting is located at the Taoh outdoor gallery, a space for rotating murals in Charlotte. While she is there, the character can act as the guardian of the park and watch over visitors.

Today marks my 38th trip around the sun. ☀️🥳🎉🎂

This past year has brought so many unexpected twists and turns for better or worse. I learned so many new skills and constantly found myself doing things I never through I would do.

I contributed to award winning installations and exhibits, made new friends, created all the things, enjoyed life with some of the best humans, and found tons of ways to make a living off simply showing up and being my authentic self. It’s a lovely feeling 🥰

Here are a few moments we managed to capture over the past year or so.

Feeling so grateful. 🥰🤘✌️

I’m a bit late with this because I’m taking a social media break, but thank you to everyone who came out for the reception of my art show Full Circle at @divinebarrelclt!

This show is a representation of the balance of finding yourself through progress and returning to things that matter.

It’s always a pleasure to work with @stencilspray and @divinebarrelclt . Also, shoutout to @glizzys_lizzy for the delicious food and @copperheadsocialclub for the afterparty.

I’ve been trying my best to slow down and take it easy while adjusting to some employment changes. But don’t worry, I’m always plotting. Until next time 😉

I want to thank @haylostudiolounge for so many cherished memories over the years. I met @iamhaylo in 2022 after wanting to get caught in her orbit for a long time. I knew she was bringing people in our community together in the most unique and meaningful ways, and since meeting her, the gatherings, support, and creativity energy she emits hasn’t stopped. And even though her shop is closing after a long run in Plaza Midwood, I know Hayley won’t stop using all her special talents. I’m excited to see what’s becoming…. Thank you for inspiring me over and over @iamhaylo 🔥🐍🪲🖤🖤🖤

In gratitude for what is depicted here, what it took to get here and where it goes after. The answer is in the stars. Come out to @darksidestudiosnc for “Dream Mare” June 19 6-9 The place will be much more filled out. This is coordinated to vibe with the great neighbors @awakengallerync whose “Beyond the Pillars” show shares the time slot… there are rumblings of some extras too….
