@b45baseball bats are ready to go!

We’ve been using B45 wood bats since we started the Captains to help our players dial in their swings and get quality work in during the offseason.

Can’t wait to put these to good use!

Last Saturday was my first time facing a pitcher throwing 85mph. Not only did I get beat, I beat myself. I was thinking too much. You can’t think and hit at the same time.

I spent a lot of time in the batting cage the past two weeks figuring out my swing and making adjustments. I changed my stance to stance to start more up right and staggered, front leg back to help me step and load more into my hips and back leg. I’ve been doing a good job generating rearward bat speed to get the barrel into the zone deeper and stay through ball. But all that fell apart at the plate because I was thinking too much.

This morning I went back to basics and focused on just getting off smooth swings and practicing my new stance and load. It feels good. I can definitely tell the difference between when I stay through the baseball versus when I pull across my body and rotate the bat through zone.

@mavekpro batting gloves are 🔥 highly recommend

@b45baseball B416 - thin handle, big barrel. This bat whips through the zone but it’s also smooth. Generating a lot of power with this. Great pop for a birch bat and loud barrel!

So back in August, the @jayscare Foundation put some “mystery bats” up for charity. Shocker, I bought one. It arrived today.

It was to be signed by one of a handful of past or present @bluejays players, but you couldn’t pick who. The bat is made in Canada by @b45baseball , which is even cooler.

I wasn’t sure of the autograph so I ran it thru the @mlb Authenticator, and it’s Bo Bichette !
