Through my rise and fall, you’ve been my only friend 🪞

I decided to march my age out at Monarch and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! I met so many new people, made new friends, experienced new memories, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This activity isn’t for everyone, but I’m so glad to have been apart of it.

So much has happened in my life these past several months and monarch was always there for me no matter what. I always showed up and did my best with the people I love.

Thank you to the lewi bois who have been in this activity since 8th/9th grade and being so passionate over it. Even if I wasn’t able to march as many years as yall, I am always supportive and proud of the work you all put in :’)

Thank you Ges for driving us every weekend. You have my whole heart and I’m so happy I got to do the drive with you. The late night talks while i procrastinated on homework will have a special place in my heart lol

Thank you to all the friends I’ve made along the way that also supported me. From the ones who drove to our shows to the ones who showed up to the Dayton lot, thank you.

And once again, thank you Monarch for giving me the opportunity to march my last year with you all. I am so grateful for everything the staff and admin did for the members. It’s already been a week since Dayton and I’m still processing so many emotions from this season. What a perfect way to end my marching career.

I was very hesitant about the idea of coming back to monarch. For a lot of last year, I felt directionless, questioning my purpose and if I enjoyed this activity anymore.

Nevertheless, I found the answers and the sense of fulfillment I’ve been searching for with this group of people.

Thank you for reminding me what it means to be human.

Thank you for teaching me how to fight tirelessly for the sake of one another.

Thank you for giving me so much meaning.
