While working on this, I couldn’t place the emotions behind it. I’ve come to realise that not everything we feel needs to be explained. Sometimes the most honest thing we can do is express it and trust that meaning will reveal itself later.

It was an honour and a deeply meaningful experience to be surrounded by so much love from some of my closest friends over the weekend for my birthday celebration.

Their love, support, and friendship over the decades have been a guiding light in shaping the man I am today, and I never take that for granted.

“The Boy Ahead” - 2026 (A5)

Started this as practice and somehow ended up here.

Been discovering new things about my process lately, trusting my instincts more, pushing further even when I think I’m done.

Slide 4 was almost the final piece… but it felt incomplete. Glad I listened to that feeling.

Also, this might be the best Afro I’ve ever drawn 😭👦🏾✨
