august came and went too fast. got back from my 2 week birthday extravaganza and enjoyed some down time getting back to normal routines while keeping that juicy summer vibe going lol

💖 visits from old friends nourished the soul

💖 Brooklyn day dance parties

💖 visiting my best friend’s son who just turned 2 in dc

💖 getting hosted by friends who are like family and who cook at home like michelin star restaurants. i’m so lucky ✨

💖 best ethiopian food in dc @ethiopicdc

💖 long conversations about this season of life we’re in over lavender chai lattes at my neighborhood joint in bk @babacoolbk

💖 took a reformer pilates class @fortpilates and loved it and might do it more often (i am lazy so i usually just go to the old gym in my building without ever having to leave the building lol)

💖 best best best meal as always from @lavarany, owned by a female restaurateur who also owns my other fav @saintjulivert (@laurabelgray @selena_soo that meal was epic, thanks alex!)

Happy Where, What Wednesday! I’m here with a scoop on noteworthy cafés and beautiful places to write. This week it’s a cute restaurant called Baba Cool. A charming garden patio, expert-level coffee, and deliciously crafted menu (try the whipped ricotta, butter beans, and the seasonal baba bowls — 2/3 of these were so appetizing I forgot to take photos). Design-focussed, upbeat soundtrack, and the perfect moody lighting for sharing a table with a pen and notebook.

If you’ve been curious about this place, I highly recommend checking it out for a pre-BAM bite or a solo writing day with coffee and brunch.
