Building a brand takes guts. It means putting your dream and yourself out there for everyone to see. It isn’t easy, but when you truly believe in what you’re building, it’s incredible where that belief can take you. What started with one food truck has grown into catering, pita workshops and Baba’s Milk. I’m so proud of my family and the team working behind the scenes to help me share our food, culture and love for burek with the world. Baba’s Milk was the first to take us international. Now our pita workshops are growing and our next dream is to take that Balkan experience abroad. Scaling a product is one thing. Scaling yourself is another. I’ve had to become braver, think bigger and keep showing up even when I doubted myself. This was never just about food or milk. It’s about family, culture and legacy. It’s about taking something that began in Baba’s kitchen and showing the world what is possible. Start before you feel ready. Believe before others understand. One day, the dream you were afraid to share may become the story that inspires someone else to begin. Thank you, Lord. Me and the dojo girls swapped our black belts and Gi’s🥋for aprons and napkins today. A beautiful Saturday morning sharing a little of our friends’ Serbian and Croatian culture and a taste of Balkan life. We cooked pita burek, learnt to dance the Serbian way, shared recipes, stories and plenty of laughs along the way. Inspired by the Blue Zones where longevity is about the way we live as much as what we eat. Cooking together, sharing food, moving, dancing, connecting and enjoying each other’s company. There was plenty of that this morning. Food, culture, community and lots of joy. Thank you to Baba, Lepa and their amazing team @burek_on_wheels for such a lovely experience, and to @miramkns for sharing this little part of your world with us. This collaboration is so special to us 🧡 Baba arrived in Australia in 1969 and one of the first cookware sets she ever bought was her iconic burnt-orange @bessemer_aus which she still uses today! So, showing her the new Bessemer range and seeing that beautiful burnt orange make a comeback was such a full-circle moment. We were beyond excited to create this photoshoot for Bessemer and are so grateful for our gorgeous gifts. We can’t wait to cook our traditional Balkan dishes together in our new Bessemer cookware old-school quality, made for the modern-day kitchen and built to stand the test of time. A huge thank you to @sara_photography_sydney for capturing all the fun through your incredible photography and video.
