Devotee Sunday Vol. 3 ~ meet Jo @babegahan from Italy 🤍 "The Series" continues!🌹 Jo found Depeche Mode in the 2000s ~"when CD was in fashion," as she puts it ~ and started collecting. That collection of CDs? She means it.💿🎧 Now she wants the vinyls, early albums first. The collection keeps growing. 🖤 When she was young, she'll tell you herself, the attraction was intense ~ "especially to Dave, whom I was obsessed with." But then she discovered the original four-man lineup, and everything shifted: 💘 "I instantly loved Alan, I suffered for both him and Dave, and I rejoiced at DM resurgence." Their songs carried her through her toughest times. Her first concert was San Siro, Milan — Delta Machine tour, 2013 — which is also her favourite tour night. Same show. ("I've seen Dave undressing 😉🔥" — her words, not mine.) Her favourite song: "In Your Room" — "with Alan on drums of course."🫠 #depechemode #devoteesunday #davegahan #alanwilder #depechemodefamily

The book : progress update 6 So, what’s new with this project? The summer’s repeated heatwaves sapped my energy: I haven’t made as much progress as I’d have liked. But I’ve still managed to get a bit of work done! Current status 📍 ✅️ Title (found on the first day) ✅️ First draft ✅️ First proofread for an overview The first few pages were written back in 2024 and I’d forgotten a bit about them. ✅️ Second proofread to add missing information When you’re writing, it’s sometimes difficult to stop and look up information without breaking your flow and losing your inspiration. So I went through it all again and added footnotes for further details. There are 114 of them so far. ♾️ In progress: researching additional information to flesh out the text and ensure the content is as comprehensive as possible. Next, I’ll need to insert this into the existing text. ♾️ In progress: the cover, for which I have a clear idea; I’ve entrusted this to my friend @mempasmal , who designed my logo. So yes, it’s taking a bit of time. I know, I’d get through it faster if I asked an AI. Yes, but… never in a million years! 😱 As Dave and Martin say (and they’re not the only ones), a work of art is a journey where the journey itself matters more than the destination. On this journey, I’m learning to write, to organise, to structure, and to edit my own work. I’m learning as much about myself as I am about Dave – and sometimes even thanks to Dave. When the idea for this book first came to me, I thought it was mad… but it just felt right. Life has thrown a few setbacks my way, but the desire has never left me. I want to savour every step of the journey, however long or tedious it may be. I want you to feel, through these words, my love, my enthusiasm and, at times, my tears – whether of doubt or joy. Patience… I know this book will exist one day. When that time comes, as Dave says, it will be yours and will no longer belong to me. So I’m keeping it with me a little longer, whilst it matures and gets ready to meet you 🥰 #depechemode ##depechemodefans #depechemodedevotees #davegahan #martingore
