*Update* Rapper Babeylos Released From Police Custody and Cleared on Self Defense was this the right decision? 🤔💭
A suspect in an attempted armed home invasion robbery was sh*t by a renter at a Fort Lauderdale Airbnb Thursday night, police said.

The incident happened around 6 p.m. at a home in the 800 block of Northwest 19th Avenue.

Fort Lauderdale Police said a man went to the Airbnb armed with a g*n and entered while trying to commit a robbery.

Once inside, an altercation unfolded between the suspect and the renter, who opened fire on the suspect.

The suspect was sh*t and fled the home on foot but officers found him nearby suffering from gunsh*t wounds to his upper torso, police said.

He was taken to a local hospital where he is in critical condition after undergoing surgery.

The suspect, 18-year-old Dareon Pubien, is expected to face charges of attempted m*rder and home invasion with a firearm, police said.
A second suspect believed to be an accomplice, 25-year-old Sean Thompson, was arrested and faces the same charges, police said.

Detectives are still looking into the sh**ting but investigating it as an act of self-defense.

Neighbor Arthur Butler said he was relaxing outside his garage when he heard gunshots.

“I just heard the sh*ts, you know when you hear sh*ts, you just move out the way,” Butler said. “We don’t ever have nothing like that over here, we just not used to that.”

Butler said he saw the suspects during the encounter.

“They were trying to get over the gate then they couldn’t get in the gate then they went around the side and got in but I didn’t know what was going on,” he said. “They walked up, I don’t know where they came from but I was sitting there, I didn’t see anything but I just heard the sh*ts.”

No other details were immediately known. #fyp #reels #explore
