Freebird Valley has always been about something bigger than a place.

It’s about creating a space where people can come back to themselves.

A place in the Colorado Rockies to gather, breathe, move, learn, heal, celebrate, sit in ceremony, share meals, connect with nature and experience what can happen when we intentionally step away from the noise.

And now, we’re asking our community to help us continue building that vision.

We’ve officially launched a GoFundMe for Freebird Valley to help support the growth and development of this healing space and the experiences we hope to continue bringing to this land.

Freebird is still growing. There is so much we dream of creating here, not only for the retreats and trainings happening today, but for the people and communities who will gather here for years to come.

If Freebird has touched you, if you believe in what we are creating, or if you simply believe the world needs more spaces dedicated to connection, healing and community, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.

Every donation matters. Every share matters. Every person who helps spread the word becomes part of this story.

Thank you for believing in Freebird Valley and helping us build something that we hope will serve many. 🤍

Happy one-year anniversary to my Babylove 💜✨

It’s hard to believe it’s already been a whole year. 💫 What an incredible journey these last 12 months have been, and how many experiences we’ve packed into them together. Including three festivals, a New Year’s plant medicine retreat 🌿, conscious breathwork, two weddings, birthdays, so many holidays, multiple concerts and dance parties🕺, road trips, lots of sci-fi viewing 👽, waking up at 4am to watch a lunar eclipse 🌕, getting to see each other perform in our artistic elements, and staying up late into the night talking about esoteric ideologies. 🌀

And through all of it, you’ve given me such unwavering love, affection, and encouragement.🌟 I’ll always be especially grateful for the way you supported me with your healing, tender touch as I pushed through the pain from knee surgery. You’ve shown up for me in so many ways. Your presence is a gift.

I love how our lives have become so beautifully intertwined. We’ve merged our groups of friends, shared so many adventures✨, and I’ve had the chance to connect with so many wonderful people because of you. 🌈 It feels like we’ve created this ever-expanding little world together filled with love, art, music, silliness 🤪, and laughter, and so many unforgettable experiences.

It’s been such a blast being on this journey with you. My love for you is endless. 💫

Here’s to more adventures, festivals, road trips, creative chaos, and whatever beautiful weirdness life throws our way.

Love you so much, Babylove 💜

Reiki I • A New Beginning

November 5 to 8, 2026

Our hands have always been instruments of healing. Long before we speak, they comfort. They hold, they soothe, they embrace, they create, and they offer presence when words are no longer enough.

During this four day immersive retreat and Reiki Level I training, you’ll learn how to consciously reconnect with this innate gift. Through sacred attunements, guided practice, meditation, and hands on learning, you’ll discover how your hands become a channel for universal life force energy, supporting balance, restoration, and healing for yourself and others.

Set amongst the peaceful Colorado Rockies at Freebird Valley, this retreat offers more than reiki training. It is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and leave with a lifelong healing practice rooted in presence, compassion, and intention.

Thank you Cody, Elisia, Nicole, Brielle, Emily M., Emily S., Sarah, Melissa, BabyLove, Andrew and Lily (not pictured as they had to leave right after but are responsible for some of the pics you see above 🫶🏽)

From the Soul Brother Medicine "The Softer Launch" gathering that happened back on July 11th, 2026. Twas a day. I arose early to teach a class this Saturday and a few blocks away was informed by my car's dash that my driver side tire was quickly losing air. Woof. Just what I need on ceremony day. I made it to the studio with just enough air to spare and right on time to start class. Making the necessary arrangements and figuring everything out would have to wait. Life just be like that sometime.

Called @butlerash16 for a ride and our other car and AAA after the class and figured out the arrangements for the day. So grateful for the help. I wouldn't have been able to do it without ya 🙏🏼 Thank you. (Also, AAA is legit for anyone out there in need of a good tow service. 5/5 recommend)

Although I felt rushed and slightly panicked from the morning that ensued, the ceremony went off beautifully. It's hard to explain the time we had, so I'll let the words of my Brother Cody Reed fill you in.

"I really liked the whole ceremony. During I really was dialed in. I was able to shut my mind off and just be present in the moment. it was a true relief from the day to day stress. Almost kind of out of body in a way. Definitely could feel a little something from the cacao. You did a good job of speaking and helping guide the experience. Afterwards I felt cleansed in a way, like a knife fresh off the whetstone or like just more at peace in a good, all is well kinda mood."

Ayyy 🥹 It really is a honor to hold space like this.Truly a blessing.

Also, s/o my brother Justin who's also not pictured but is behind the scenes of all things you see with sbm. More on that to come.

Next gathering - August 16th 3pm

Some people teach Reiki.

Others embody it.

We’re honoured to welcome Rev. Nicholas “Babylove” Sweeney to Freebird Valley this November for Reiki Level I: A New Beginning.

For decades, Babylove has guided others on a path of healing, presence, and spiritual awakening. His approach to Reiki is gentle, grounded, and deeply authentic, inviting you to experience the life force not as something to understand, but as something to feel.

In this video, Babylove shares a glimpse into what Reiki truly is and why this practice has transformed the lives of so many, including his own.

If you’ve ever felt called to slow down, reconnect with yourself, or begin a meaningful healing journey, this may be the invitation you’ve been waiting for.

This week at Sakala is filled with opportunities to nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Whether you’re seeking healing, deeper self-connection, new practices, or simply a place to belong, there’s a space waiting for you.

We’re especially looking forward to Coffee & Communitea! We’d love to welcome you.

However you choose to join us this week, we’re grateful to share this space with you. ✨

In the weeks since Lentil’s passing, we’ve been learning how to hold joy alongside grief, celebrating her life in the ways we know how 🪩✨

We’ve been held by loving friends 💞, time in nature 🌿, community 🫶, so many beautiful flowers and heartfelt cards 💐, and most of all our cats 🐱

Beltane held so many blessings, and even amidst this immense loss, there is immense gratitude too 🙏

Cherishing is healing. Thank you all for your love and support 🌈❤️‍🩹✨

Still glowing from an incredible queer campout at Liberty Arising, a sanctuary and retreat center tucked away in the California desert 🌈🌵

Around 50 of us gathered over the full moon weekend, which made it feel intimate, grounded, and deeply connected. The space was beautifully inclusive, body-positive, and sex-positive — a place where people could truly show up and fully express themselves.

The days were filled with thoughtful workshops including partner yoga, a powerful and inspiring conversation around queerness led by @nickmcqueen , along with a class exploring intuition and tapping into psychic abilities. We also had Gay church on Sunday! The desert landscape itself was absolutely stunning and added so much magic to the whole experience ✨✨✨

There were themed dance parties, shared family meals, sweet in-between moments, and so much laughter. I also had the chance to perform in the talent show as a silly cow. 🐮 This was my 5th boylesque performance and I felt so free, accepted, and alive. Some people even got wet. 💦🤭

Feeling grateful for the humans I met, the depth of connection, and the reminder of what’s possible in an intentional, loving community. Truly a nourishing and rejuvenating experience ❤️‍🔥

Two weeks in the reiki flow.
Feeling grounded & stable.
But also, more light.
Inviting relaxation every day.
Giving myself the space
to just be.
Hands on heart,
on sacral,
on head.
Anchored in the principles:
Just for today...
I will not lose my Self in worry.
I will not lose my Self in anger.
I will give thanks for many blessings.
I will show up honestly,
& be true to myself.
I will be kind to myself,
to others,
& to all living beings.
Simple commitments
that change the world.
