About *story telling*

I hear this phrase lately more often on instagram

And i sense there’s a main confusion around it -
Telling a story in a social dance is not a story you tell someone ELSE that watches you…
it’s a story you tell YOURSELF to feel something different. To find another way to enjoy a song.

Only after it shows outside authentically

But…
telling a story for someone else to see you “in a character” will always be inauthentic. And it shows

It’s especially easy to fall into it during demos or workshops around connection.

If you want to tell a story in a dance,
First choose a vibe that feels fun fun FOR YOU
and make sure you do it for yourself… just because you find it more fun
the outside will take care of it self automatically
