A florist hack dry foam burritos wrapped in Nancarrow wire make this structure easy to put up and take down. We secured them throughout the arch, layered in smilax and then huck, added rose bushes for volume, and then went to work with the rest of the flower recipe. Building that base first gives you the shape and fullness to let the flowers do their thing. And baby, it turned out amazing 🤍🤍🤝👩🏻‍🌾 water tube all blooms ✨

3 chicken wire dry burritos
1 box smilax

1 bunch pink carnations
1 bunch white glad
1 bunch pink rose

The perfect summer afternoon wedding in Santa Barbara, California 🤍

M & S chose an intimate wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends, exchanging vows at the Santa Barbara Courthouse Sunken Garden before continuing the celebration at Loquita.

The entire day just felt sooo peaceful. The kind of wedding where you could really slow down, take everything in, and be present with the people who matter most.

Beautiful details, a warm Santa Barbara afternoon, dinner with their fave people, and two people starting a new journey together, so incredibly special.

So grateful I got to document a little piece of this day and preserve these memories for them. 🤍

Santa Barbara will forever be one of my favorite places to document love stories.

One of my favorite parts of wedding design is figuring out how to make a couple’s vision feel at home in the space they’ve chosen.

For this reception at Loquita, the setting already brought so much warmth and character that we didn’t need to compete with it. We kept the design intentionally simple and let colorful florals pop against the dark wood tables, amber candles, green glasses and rich textures of the restaurant. Plus, always important to leave space for the family style platters.

It’s always a balance. You want a wedding to feel personal to the couple, while also letting the venue be part of the design rather than trying to transform it into something it’s not especially when the restaurant aesthetic was a key part of the selection. And I loved how this one came together for Helen and Daniel!

Sunlight softened by the Santa Barbara coast, a gentle Pacific breeze, and an embrace frame Emma and Nate’s April vows on the lawn of Montecito Club.

Sculptural anthuriums and delicate orchids were woven seamlessly into lush floral arches, echoing the coastal warmth and romantic architecture of the estate. Every detail was curated to feel suspended in time, an intentional, sensory celebration of their love story.

You’re not supposed to notice everything on your wedding day. Why? Because you’re supposed to actually experience it.

I’m paying attention to the details, the movement, the people and what’s happening all around you.

So while you’re experiencing the day, I’m watching for everything you might miss 😉

History was made in Montecito!

What an incredible afternoon of joy, Jewish pride, and community as we welcomed a beautiful new Torah into our Montecito community.

As the Torah was carried through the street, surrounded by singing, dancing, children, families, friends, and so many beautiful faces from our community, you could really feel the significance of the moment.
For generations, Jews have gathered around the Torah, carrying it, dancing with it, learning from it, and passing it from one generation to the next.

And now, Montecito has its very own Torah. ❤️
Our deepest gratitude to the Ruimy family for making this all possible.

The welcome may have ended, but this is only the beginning. We are so excited for all the memories, celebrations, mitzvot, learning, and Jewish moments that lie ahead.

Montecito has a Torah.
And we couldn’t be more excited to welcome it home
