The Odyssey Vinyl’s unboxing

“The particularly interesting thing is what Göransson does with Kapaj’s sound. He doesn’t simply insert a piece of Albanian folk music into the film. Instead, the flute becomes part of the film’s sonic vocabulary—one of the raw, ancient voices from which Göransson constructs his larger musical world.

According to ethnomusicologist Vasil S. Tole, who was part of the film’s musical advisory team, the different Albanian contributions were given different dramatic functions: Gramsh flutes evoke landscapes and cultural environments, the Delvinë singers are associated with Odysseus, courage and battle, while Kapaj’s flute is particularly connected with the world of the supernatural—the Sirens, sorrow and loss. ”

NODE Lab started as an idea:
a shared space where creativity, technology, and community could meet.

Today, it’s a working studio, a growing network, and a place where stories, sounds, images, and ideas are produced every day.

Thank you to everyone! Cheers 🥂
