As we gear up for what’s shaping up to be Renfro’s Alaskan Adventures’ most memorable season yet in 2026, I’ve been thinking a lot about what truly makes an operation premier. It isn’t just the raw beauty of the Alaskan backcountry. It isn’t just the thrill of the hunt or the tug on the line. It’s the people beside you. Over the years, I’ve been privileged to work with many talented teams. Some groups leave a mark not just through skill, but through spirit. That unique blend of trust, shared purpose, and mutual respect that turns a season into an adventure and a team into a family. That’s what we’ve built here. Our crew seasoned, dedicated, and passionately aligned is why we’ve grown into the premier fly in backcountry moose hunting outfitter in the world. And yes, our fishing trips are pretty amazing too. But behind every successful hunt, every unforgettable fishing expedition, is a group of individuals who bring their best, season after season. Their experience doesn’t just elevate what we do it transforms it.

To our returning crew: thank you. Your talent, resilience, and camaraderie are the heartbeat of this operation. To our future guests: you’re not just booking a trip you’re joining a team that cares deeply about the experience we create together.

Here’s to the 2026 season our very best yet and to the people who make it possible.

Just dropped him off at the taxidermist this evening to get slapped on a form!

Going after another Yukon moose with @drillertodd & @renfrosalaskanadventures in 2028 and I can’t freakin wait!!!
I told @backwoodsbeau that if I made it back that I’d have a 6 pack when I show up….. hide & watch.

Thank God I’ve got time!! 🤪🤣
Thanks to @kevintdana @barneyssportschalet for selling us everything we needed and nothing that we didn’t.

Alaska moose in the tundra was everything I imagined it would be and more. Going on a moose hunt in Alaska is something I have dreamed about since I was a teenager. I'm super lucky and blessed I was able to do this as It probably will be a once in a lifetime trip and hunt! Me and one of my best friends @steepandeep1 had an incredible adventure from flying in on a float plane to the middle of nowhere, to the 11 days of a complete grind hunting and living in the bush was definitely humbling. We seen 31 bulls and a couple bears, foxes, beavers and all sorts of cool waterfowl not to mention the vast landscape. I was able to kill my bull on day 5 and Paul took his to the wire and killed his bull on day 9 after passing a bunch of smaller bulls as finally the rut heated up and we were able to call in multiple bulls. We both had perfect lung shots and no damage to all that precious meat. If you haven't seen an Alaskan moose on the ground in person it's really hard to show in pics or explain how massive these animals are both in body and antlers and the amount of weight that has to be moved. But the pain we endured was one of the best feelings in the world. I got pretty emotional after I killed my bull as I have had my dream of harvesting a good bull forever and there is definitely a little stress with being away from my family for 13 days and how much time and money was invested. We're both extremely happy with our bulls and feel the hunt went exactly how it should have. Thanks to my beautiful wife and kids for supporting one of my bucket lists dreams!! Many more pics to come sorry not sorry 😜🫎🫎 #alaska #moose #hunting #tundra #bucketlist #renfrosalaskanadventures

Beneath the endless expanse of northern light, the hum of a bush plane cuts through silence a machine built for extremes, carrying those who seek the raw edge of wilderness. This is not a journey for the unprepared. It demands more than gear. it requires the convergence of minds and hands, each tempered by duty.

The Pilot does not merely fly. They read the language of storms, navigate the hills, valleys, rivers and lakes and become the bridge between ambition and the untamed. In their calm, you see the Stoic’s resolve. control only what you can.

The Guide walks the line between hunter and hunted. Their wisdom is not in tracks alone but in patience, knowing when to push, when to wait, and how to turn adversity into advantage. The wild forgives no arrogance.

The Mechanic labors behind closed doors, hands blackened by grease. Every bolt tightened, every engine checked, is a vow. What we do now echoes in the heights. Their craft is a mastery unseen and essential.

The Hangar Crew moves to the rhythm of season. Theirs is the realm of readiness, camps built and rolled into place, food/supplies triple-checked, Garmin inreach alerts keeping the moose down momentum going. Their work measured not in glory but in the silent certainty that no strap will fray, no battery will fail. To them, preparation is not a task. it is a creed.

The Outfitter stitches these threads into a single tapestry. Logistics, foresight, respect for the land they understand that a hunt begins long before the trigger is pulled. It starts with trust, built in the quiet moments before dawn.

In the end, the moose is neither trophy nor conquest. It is a mirror. How will you meet the challenge? Will you rise with the discipline of those who make such moments possible?

The Alaskan wild does not care for your ego. But in the collaboration of pilot, guide, mechanic, hangar crew, and hunter, there is a lesson. “We are strongest when we serve a purpose greater than ourselves”.

Prepare not just your pack, but your character. The wilderness is watching.
