I’ve never claimed to be “punk.”

I’ve described myself as a serial concert-goer, a music fan, and a supporter of local, live music. I’ve been going to punk, rock, metal, hardcore, ska, and indie shows (and more) since I was 16.

Is “yuppie lawyer” supposed to be an insult? I’m proud of my profession and how I help regular people everyday fight debt collectors (at my own small firm @mantalawfirm ). I’m proud of the home I bought, not for myself, but for my family. I work everyday to support them.

I’m living my life. Just because I don’t subscribe to what someone wanted, that doesn’t make me immature or a poser. That doesn’t give someone a right to lob insults at me, of which these were just a few.

And I’d like to see you at my Tampa Punk Rock Karaoke open-to-the-public birthday event on Aug. 18 at Magnanimous Brewing (show at 7). Come sing punk songs with a live band. No cover. Details on my IG.
