Yesterday marked another year for “Word On Tha Streets.”

I was introduced to @badazzlbc back in 2000 through his dope verse on Eastsidaz’ “N*** 4 Life.” He always caught my attention on guest appearances, so I was keeping an eye out for his solo albums to see if he could deliver across a full project. “Word On Tha Streets” proved he could.

The album fires on all cylinders, from the @snoopdogg collaboration “We Be Puttin It Down” to my personal favorite, “Ghetto Star.” It’s West Coast through and through, with lowriding 6’4 Impalas and production from Dj Pooh, @realantbanks and fellow DPGC member @soopaflydpgc, alongside a strong lineup of West Coast features.

It might not be a perfect album, but it’s a damn good one. Bad Azz was seriously underrated, and I’m proud to have this one in the collection. 🔥
