Met in Bali, reunited in Tokyo last year and now together in Sapporo. A day with our friend @badriladriel who loves Japan as much as we do (or even more 😅). 🫶🗾🍜

This ramen place and the coffee next door were one of our favourites that we returned to multiple times. Also, the ice cream 🍦 was one of the best I had in Japan.

Hi. We got engaged ♥️

So happy to celebrate with some of my favorite Indonesian things — delicious food, family, and a little glimpse into his Indian traditions — from the haar (flower garlands) to the tokros.

A beautiful afternoon surrounded by the people we love. The sweetest beginning to everything ahead. 🪷

The haar ceremony — exchanging flower garlands as a symbol of accepting and choosing one another, usually followed by a little competition over who gets to put theirs on first to see which one would have the upper hand in marriage.

Apparently, the competition can take a while. But i decided to let rohit win this one — he had already cried five minutes into the ceremony, so i thought he deserved a small victory. 🤭

Five minutes into the ceremony and rohit was already crying. I didn't realize i was marrying a softie...

The tokros — a tradition from rohit’s family of bringing gifts for our household, symbolising the groom’s family coming into our home with something to eat, something to drink, and something for the home. 🤍

After seeing this big baby only on the family whatsapp group, this day finally comes: Lakshmi's first time seeing Kai!

Holding hands while Rohit was bawling. Honestly this would feed me off for life!

Baby Kai in his nehru jacket — a traditional indian-style jacket named after Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister. With its signature high collar, it's often worn for weddings and celebrations.

A little piece of rohit’s culture looks even sweeter on our smallest guest! He was such a rockstar, everyone wanted to get a hold of him 🩶
