NEW FOR 2026: UTAH FILMMAKER SPOTLIGHT

The Utah Filmmaker Spotlight will join the lineup alongside our Official Selections. Featuring a small set of shorts from Utah filmmakers, this block showcases local action cinema projects and includes an extended Q&A session with all three directors: @hippie_grahm, @badstillfilms, and @spearheadstunts. Hosted by Mike Scott of @a4epodcast, we expect the extended format will allow in-depth engagement with moderator and audience questions.

Following the Spotlight block is the Haymaker Mixer. Also new for 2026, the Mixer will give filmmakers and guests alike a dedicated opportunity to connect and socialize.

Join us in celebrating and building on our very own local action cinema community.

Year 4 of @bigbad_filmfest was one for the history books. From DTV classics to some incredible shorts by up and comers, this year’s still has me riding an action cinema high. It really does get better and better, folks. Until next time. Last photo of me courtesy of @jordansantacana #ChineseAirPoliceGood

And that’s a wrap on Big Bad Film Fest 4. Every year this is one of the best weekends I have all year. Truly special. To be a part of this community and get to spend time with friends that have now become family, meet new friends, strengthen those bonds through a mutual love of action cinema. Thank you Patrick & Powell, you two are seriously just inspiring, as well as everyone who just welcomed me into the action cinema world. Love you all. See ya next year for our now traditional beatdown photo and post festival meal.

Too many to tag. Too many to thank. Love you all.
