Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Spongebob in Nightshifter This is a very special Speeder because it is the first combination that @holycao84 ever showed me during our initial Lic Ent meeting. He placed a 3D printed Spongebob in a Nightshifter down and I could not get it out of my head. Fast-Forward many months later the stars aligned and Spongebob is now available for all to purchase in that exact same configuration! Jesse deserves a huge shout-out here as well for mastermining the perfect colors and combinations to work with the transparent pieces to create the "underwater" effect that really makes this one pop. Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders 2-Pack: Hi-Tech Buzz Lightyear in Later Crater and Forky in Blitzspeeder 2-Packs are starting to hit the shelves and what a fun one this is, the iconic pairing of Buzz and Forky. This comes with a Singles version of Buzz alongside a 2-Pack first appearance Forky in a new Speeder Blitzspeeder! This was a special one for me because I also got to develop the Forky Figure alongside Shun on our Sculpting team! Toy Story 5 was such a fun movie and gave us so many incredible options to celebrate the IP with. The color palettes and character personalities really gave us a wide range of avenues to explore. A fun story behind the Forky deco here is this was the very first deco that Jesse got approved! I still remember the look on his face when I suggested we just scribble on the car as the livery. As always he really worked his magic and I think it turned out amazing! These should be hitting shelves roughly "now" so keep your eyes peeled and as always let me know when you find them! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: The Flash in Formul8r With Mix 3 of singles I am excited to introduce some friends from the DC universe! Starting with a Superstar Speedster in Superstar Speeders, The Flash. Paired with the Foruml8r in a translucent red body and a Speed lines livery, the sense of motion is really captured well. A fun story here is that while visiting the factory I was able to share the very first look at the Formul8r with its deco and material finish seen here with Rob in-person. These should be hitting shelves roughly "now" so keep your eyes peeled and as always let me know when you find them! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Leonardo in Nightshifter Another new IP joins the Superstar Speeders Roster! TMNT is such a fun brand and I was super excited to get a chance to put Leonardo into a Speeder. I believe this was the first Figure that Jesse developed from start to finish and wow is it a cool one! Leonardo is shown in an action pose depicting grabbing for one of his iconic Sword. As always he absolutely killed it on the deco as well capturing the style and aesthetic of the turtles. These should be hitting shelves roughly "now" so keep your eyes peeled and as always let me know when you find them! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Mickey in Hi-Beam The final item in Mix 3 of singles, the legend himself. Mickey Mouse! I always love a chance to work on characters and IPs ive never had a chance to work with before and this was no exception. This was the 2nd of the 2 items developed in the post Mike/ Pre Jesse timeline and I had a lot of fun and a lot of great learnings as I dived into Deco and all the complexity behind doing proper turnover documents. Mickey is represented by his iconic red vehicle with the addition of a Checker flag and Mouse Ear logo stripe on the side to bring his ride in-line with the Speeders aesthetic. His Roof is yellow and all of the livery is capped off here with a dual zoned Rim deco 😎 A little fun I had that I know some people and eagle eyed fans have already commented on! Available "now" , keep your eyes on stores and shelves and as always please let me know when you find these in stores! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Stitch in Hi-Beam Inspired by the coin operated Rocket Stitch and Lilo ride, Stitch takes control of the Hi-Beam and is off for Hot Wheels adventures! This was a really fun one to develop and the one that the most people asked "is this real" while I was showing the new Mix at the Los Angeles Convention! The awnser is yes, Its real! This item holds a very special place in my heart as it, alongside the next one ill be posting, were done while I was the only person on the team 🫣 As Mike joined his new team and Jesse was applying I was a "one man show". A huge shout-out to all the other designers and team members who stepped in and helped awnser my questions during this time. These should be hitting shelves roughly "now" so keep your eyes peeled and as always let me know when you find them! Hot Wheels Super Mario Galaxy Movie: Fire Flower Mario Rounding out my work for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is this Fire Flower recolor of the Mario Motorcycle! This Mario is availible in the JMR31 The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Mario's Desert Adventure Track-set. This entire trackset is incredible and was masterminded by @omarandtoy and is compatible with all the Super Mario Galaxy Movie motorcycles. Working together we were able to establish the vehicles and trackset in-tandem to allow for a unique play pattern highlighting the fun of the film. I'll let him post more about the trackset so be on the look out for that! In the meantime, keep an eye on shelves for this amazing set and Fire Flower Decoration Mario! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Wolverine in Twin Mill III Mix 3 of singles is already upon us! This might be my favorite mix so far just from the range of characters and IPs we got to work on. Starting off with the always fun, Wolverine! A new Superstar figure and another new Speeder with the Twin Mill III This figure was developed while Mike was still on our team and he did a phenomenal job of capturing all the iconic Wolverine details at our scale. Jesse got to flex his skills once again pulling from the X-Men '97 show and color palette. I think this was maybe one of our easiest brainstorms on deco ever since the car and the character were just such a strong pairing. Also a shoutout to Sam who has been churning out these killer packages, seeing them on shelf amongst all the other diecast they really do pop! These should be hitting shelves roughly "now" so keep your eyes peeled and as always let me know when you find them! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Batman in Batmobile Another redeco to start off Mix-4! This is a pretty straightforward one as we all know Batman loves himself Black and Gold! Jesse did a great job of playing with materials here and suggested the translucent body which gives a really cool effect. Gold stripes were always on the table but fine tuning them took suprisingly many rounds to get the right placement without abstracting the car too much. Toy Story 5 was such a fun movie and gave us so many incredible options to celebrate the IP with. Jesse did all the deco on these and really knocked it out of the park on the Bo Peep vehicle especially. These should be hitting shelves roughly "now" so keep your eyes peeled and as always let me kno2 when you find them! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Iron Spider in Twin Mill III Mix 4 of singles is on the Hot Wheels Showcase App so I am going to post here as well! I might say this about every mix, but mix 4 might be my favorite mix so far. Starting off with a redeco of our Spider-Man figure as the Iron Spider and placing him in a new to him vehicle with the Twin Mill III. This one came about during a fun brainstorm session with Jesse where we were riffing on Spider decos. I actually mocked this one up and we liked it enough that he refined it and presented it and now its on shelf! Let me know if and when you find these in the wild! Hot Wheels Superstar Speeders Singles: Batman in Batmobile Maybe the most talked about Speeder so far, Batman officially joins the line-up! Our favorite Gotham Hero is paired with his iconic Batmobile, this version being the Hot Wheels Originals version designed by @youknowitsomar , I believe during an internship! The fun of the line for me has been carefully reviewing all castings and also learning things about some that I might not have ever known! I like to say "All basics considered" when selecting vehicles. Mix 3 should be hitting shelves roughly "now" so keep your eyes peeled and as always let me know when you find them!
