This morning, @nycsmallbiz Commissioner Minaya joined CM Paladino, Whitestone Merchants Association, and local small business owners for a walk-through of the Whitestone Village business district.

The visit included stops at @harpellrx Freddy’s Pizza, Bun & Bone, Bagel Parlor, Whitestone Hardware, Blowout Boutique, and Taco Azul. The walk-through is part of a larger effort to revitalize the village, restore the vibrancy it once had, and address public safety concerns.

A strong, thriving business district starts with a clean, welcoming, and safe environment. Addressing properties and spaces that have become eyesores or can attract unwanted activity is an important part of creating a community where residents, families, and local businesses feel comfortable and proud to be.

We were so pleased to meet Commissioner Minaya in person and greatly appreciated his time, engagement, and willingness to hear directly from our local business owners.

Thank you, Commissioner, for spending your morning with us, walking the business district, listening to our concerns, and seeing firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing our community.

We look forward to continuing to work together, building a strong partnership, and creating a vibrant, safe, and welcoming Whitestone Village for everyone!

Always a pleasure to show support for a great film that I acted in with @filmstrong2020s and @bagelparlor

“Max” is a beautiful love story that brings awareness and support to people on the autism spectrum. Check out this award winning film on YouTube (https://youtu.be/_U4BMkZizSQ?si=N81oht00z7p6zAiL)

On Christmas morning, this local Whitestone family tragically lost their home in a devastating house fire. In a matter of moments, everything they owned — clothes, devices, cash, and even Christmas gifts — was gone.

They are now facing the unimaginable task of rebuilding from nothing. The emotional and financial toll is overwhelming, and they need our community’s support during this incredibly difficult time.

Any donation — big or small — can help them replace essentials, find safe housing, and begin the long road to recovery. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser also makes a meaningful impact.
