🥯🐾 Sunday mornings are for bagels, and afternoons are for catching up with our doggy besties at the dog run! ☀️🐶💕

Good food, good friends, and happy pups. Our kind of Sunday! 🐾💗

A moment for the food ✨
#1 @grabsteinsbagels 🤤 🥯 I could hop on a flight right now for a taste of their Bae-goal (Get the hashbrowns! It’s worth the extra cals)
#2 @nuovoyorkpizza 🍕 🤤 We each got two slices, Brook dropped hers as we waited for the subway, so clearly we need to back stat!

We loved @beso_nyc and tried all the things (my personal fave - the albondigas) and tried @bagelpub & @hhbagels because you just can’t get bagels like this in TX! @brooktaylor33 had a chocolate chip cookie for breakfast and I allowed it! 😂 🍪

We never waited in long lines or a crowd. We had the best service, with smiles and genuinely felt taken care of. @nyceats stole my heart ❤️

@bagelpub has been on my NYC foodie list since I stumbled upon their page last year & I’m so glad we went!! Their case of schmears were beautiful & the bagels were light and fluffy. I got a classic bacon, egg, and cheese with the garlic herb cream cheese on a plain & @francesca.rp got a chipotle lox on sesame!

A few photos from a truly perfect fall day in Brooklyn, including biking across the Brooklyn Bridge with @weddingsbynato and interviewing giddy newlyweds at City Hall, to meeting up with the @cupofjo team at @sailor_nyc and trying their famous roast chicken (omg) and fried anchovies with sage (OMG). Also, seeing all the denim-on-denim looks, beautiful Brooklyn brownstones, my best friends take care of my baby (🥹😭), eating Lox bagels in Prospect Park, hanging with @alexronan, and clocking all the fun Halloween decorations. A dream day from start to finish! ❤️

Where to Read Around Brooklyn- Vol 2

As a reader in NYC I always have a book with me. So when I find a place that is perfect for reading (good seating, yummy food/drinks, great vibes, etc) I like to take advantage of the opportunity to sit, rest and read!

Swipe through for some of my current favorites around Manhattan. And if you want more bookish NYC follow along @bookoretravels

Outside Space- Green-Wood Cemetery
This cemetery is open to the public and an oasis in Brooklyn. Designed as a rural cemetery there are plenty of walking trails to get a little lost in and quiet spots to sit and read. It is open to the public- just be respectful that it is still an active cemetery!

Coffee Shop- Volare
This coffee shop has the nicest owners and employees! With a variety of seating both inside and in the backyard. Check out the art on display- it’s from local artists and most of it is for sale! They have amazing rotating seasonal drinks too- my go to is the maple spice latte which is the perfect balance of spiced and sweet.

Book Cafe- The Little Bookshop
The coziest bookstore cafe which is perfect fall vibes. Owned by a mother/daughter duo and feels like an extension of their home. Check out their menu of home recipes and sit and stay a while!

Restaurant- Bagel Pub
My favorite bagels in NYC! I *especially* love their banana latte- it’s the best! They always have a variety of seating and love the bagel themed artwork!
And yes- they do have a location in Manhattan but I love their Brooklyn locations!

Thanks for swiping through! Make sure to follow along for more bookish nyc and beyond. In the meantime- happy book hunting!
