NEW WORK Earlier in the year we were excited to be approached by - and given the opportunity to work with - acclaimed electronic musician Gordon Chapman-Fox, aka WARRINGTON-RUNCORN NEW TOWN DEVELOPMENT PLAN as he made plans to launch his new album with his first full bespoke music video. Getting to work with his newly unreleased music and brainstorming to create a visual narrative interpretation of the soundscapes was an absolute joy. Attaching director Craig McLaughlin to the project was a no-brainer, as he brought his own creative genius and idiosyncratic treatment to the visual style, discovering a shared love of Tetsuo and Superman 3, both of which combined to birth the fully-fleshed idea of THIS MACHINE, and witnessing our scientist suffer a horrifying possession/mutation take place by the machine that he once built and controlled. With stories of ever-powerful AI progressing every day, maybe all too prescient! However, we’re proud to present this film as 'Creative 100% human-authored with no AI generated imagery in this film’ which is becoming a very rare thing indeed, and very quickly. As ever, this would not have been possible without the help of so many crew and suppliers, all of whom brought unparalleled enthusiasm and energy.
