🌺 @tobyrae (Toby Keough) is a force to be reckoned with, and she’s sunshine in real life. You can’t be around her without walking away feeling amazing. Her florals are just like her: vibrant, joyful and bold. Think zinnias and peonies bigger than you are, chrysanthemums spilling out of a takeout box, and a mouth full of yellow blooms you have to see in person. And if you visit @modusfineart you absolutely cannot miss the bathroom. You have to see it to understand

🎨 @neicyfrey (Neicy Frey) paints soft, flowing color-field landscapes that feel calm and electric at the same time. This was my first time meeting her, and she was such a delight.

About MODUS: it’s a gallery and professional artist collective in the former home of Coeur d’Alene’s beloved Art Spirit Gallery. Five local artists own and run it, together with a group of contributing member artists who share the space, push each other to grow, and carry on our region’s legacy of fine art. A freshly curated show goes up every month, and each one opens during Second Friday ArtWalk. They have an incredible model, and I’m so excited to get to know them and watch them grow in our community. I can’t wait to host my first event there!

And the best part? This was my first girls’ night just for fun in almost three months, and it filled my cup to the brim. Good friends, great art and a lot of laughing. I needed this one 💛

This past weekend, we welcomed some special friends from around Spokane into Lilac City Barre to tour the studio, try a class, and experience a little of what makes our community so special. 💜

For some, it was their VERY FIRST barre class! Did a fun Spooky themed barre class this morning at @lilaccitybarre with a group of friends!! Located right near the Trader Joe’s in the Lincoln Heights shopping center, this cute and comfy studio has all the things you need to get a great workout in. Unexpected September carousel.. ☠️

Story time: At the beginning of the month I went to the moto track with the boys, I ride out there all the time so nothing out of the normal. Mid air on one of the jumps I got a bit sideways.. to recover it I stuck out my foot to help counter balance myself in hopes of recovering to evade a crash.. it worked (kinda) didn’t crash but my foot ended up hitting the ground before me and the bike did, resulting in a Lizfranc injury. (Fractured 4 bones) the problem is those bones that broke off attach your ligaments together aka keep your foot structurally sound.

For all yall who are interested in the body this is a good one to read up on, very interesting how important those little bones in your feet are.

So, here we are fresh out of surgery with some new hardware. We’ve got a long road to recovery, my ski season might be over before it starts.. but it is what it is and we’re going to focus on getting as strong as possible and healing correctly so I can use this foot for the rest of my life!
