You showed up like you always do and I don’t even know how to say thank you. You literally shut down East Sprague. The support that you give to us is beyond unwavering and we couldn’t be more thankful.

I cried as I was driving to work with complete gratitude. How does a girl get so lucky?

I never thought when opening up Muggies almost 3 years ago this would be where I would be. Opening up three shops in under three years of business.

About a year ago, I made a vow that every step of the way I would give God the glory. This was never my plan. This was His. Three years ago when opening up Muggies, to be completely honest with you I was scared. I was under qualified. But God simply doesn’t ask you to be ready He asks you to be willing. You never get the roadmap. Thank you Jesus for for calling. Thank you Jesus for the strength that’s gotten me through. Thank you, Jesus. I’m honored with the opportunity that humbles me every single day.

I bought a coffee stand, but what I really didn’t know was that something that I bought really built me. The late nights, the early mornings, all of that was worth this moment.

Absolutely none of this would be possible without the staff that I have. The management team that has worked relentlessly day and night. They are WHY Muggies on Sprague is open. The friends who consistently encouraged me. Our contractor who takes calls from us at 4:30 am on grand opening morning to instal a piece of equipment (@_jacobsattler_ )🤪

To all of the faces I got to meet, I truly meant I love you. You are everything to me. Your stories, your kindness, your loyalty and most importantly your support. I love you.

Spokane, you know how to make a girl emotional.

Since 1989, Best Buddies has been creating meaningful friendships and promoting inclusion for individuals with IDD. This weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to attend BBLC at Indiana University alongside students and advisors from across the country.

It was so inspiring to learn, connect, and see how dedicated everyone is to making their schools and communities more inclusive. I’m so grateful for this experience and excited to bring what I’ve learned back to our chapter. Thank you, Best Buddies, for changing lives and for continuing to spread the power of friendship and inclusion.
