I was AWESTRUCK watching the people in the Dominican Republic serve us even when they had so little. From welcoming us into their home for prayer or praying for us instead. To carrying the manapacks for us so we didn’t have to carry them. I learned how we need to put others first because that’s exactly what Jesus did. Jesus was never focused on himself, he died on the cross for us and sacrificed everything for us! So we need to focus on serving others and putting them first. The kids never once put themselves first, they always made sure they could do whatever they could so we were more comfortable.
