MSW graduation ceremony 🫀✨⭐️🎓!!!!

My dedication to healing and service has led me here. I spent my whole life being told I was too sensitive and “dramatic.” My sensitivity and empathy are profound strengths that help me connect with people deeply. I know now that true bravery is feeling, processing, and expressing our emotions.

Learning to live within a traumatized and neurodivergent brain for as long as I can remember has provided me with invaluable lived experience that informs my work. I am hoping to share more about my journey in a Substack essay in the coming weeks. As I reached my early adolescence, I found the courage to ask for professional help and advocate for myself. That decision saved my life, and therapy gave me a chance to truly know myself. And through therapy I learned how to believe in myself and my future. I am honored to have dedicated my life to healing myself and walking alongside people who are choosing the path less traveled. 🦋🩵

Thank you to my mom, my therapists, my friends, my classmates, my professors, all of my teachers, and the people I have worked with over the years; I could not be here without you and the love and light you poured into me. I am more than honored to have been on this journey with my lifelong friend, Vanessa. Our friendship has been a sanctuary of understanding and love, and I am forever grateful. Our bond means everything to me. 💜

My heart is filled with pride in sharing that I have accepted an internship at Brightwater Health in Cloquet as a Clinical Social Work Intern. This is an incredibly full circle experience, as this community mental health organization is where I have been going to therapy for almost four years at their Duluth location. Stigma has never, and will never, stop me from pursuing my goals and making a meaningful impact. I am not defined by diagnoses or trauma. I am defined by my resilience and dedication to growth. 🫀
