RECAP / Filthy 50 Recon #1
30+ riders showed up to kick off the 2026 @quickndirtymtb Filthy 50 Recon Series!

Riders tackled Raptor Ridge, tested their pacing and fueling, and got a good look at the first half of the course. Along the way, riders found each other, worked together, challenged each other, and settled into a steady, strong pace.

By the end, there was plenty of dirt on faces and some big smiles. 😎

Then we hung out, swapped stories and got to know the people we ride alongside.

This is what the Recon Series is about.
Come for the training. Stay for the community.

State championships! 4 laps of brutality with a fast field but an awesome way to end the season with an 8th. these weekends at @socalleague never fail to bring more than hoped for from meeting so many cool people to seeing and exploring fun places. I can’t wait for one last year next senior season but until then im going to miss this family! looking forward to lots of fun summer racing and time spent on the bike!!
-all the love for @foothilldirt and @stacinashcoaching 🧡

Well that’s a wrap of the 2026 season with the @socalleague ! The last 4 years of racing with this league has been so special to me and I’m so grateful for all that it’s brought to me: amazing support, new friends, an awesome team, and so much more. This season definitely had ups and downs. There were many mental and physical challenges but I learned a lot from them. I can’t wait for the next season to come and I plan to keep growing stronger and faster moving forward.

Races:
Lake Perris: 15th
1st Vail Lake: 7th
Cachuma: 7th
2nd Vail Lake: 6th
Keyesville: 5th
Overall: 8th
Tehachapi: 5th

Still reflecting on a big week across the board for these athletes. 🥳🥳

Success showed up in a lot of different ways—podiums, breakthroughs, milestones, and consistent performance across the board.

🏆 Big Results
-Laura completed the Moab Rocks Stage Race and finished 2nd in her age group.
-Emmy @mtb.emmyross and Bailey took 2nd and 3rd in the Freshman SoCal Championships.
-Jake @jake_barney08 finished 11th in Varsity Boys SoCal Championships after a tough season and delivered a strong ride when it counted.
-Craig had a huge Roadie-OH weekend, finishing 7th overall in the Metric Century, then racing the Wafer as well to complete the Double Header, where he finished 3rd overall.
- Shelly @spnani got top podium Quick n Dirty opener on a single speed after a demanding stretch of racing.
🚴 Milestones & Progression
-John K @tbs_gravel completed his longest ride to date at the Roadie-OH Metric Century—going from e-bike, to road bike, to now a full metric century. A clear step forward in his progression.
- Steve @675day completed Pedal the Paws in Tennessee and continues building toward his bigger endurance goals this year.

🔥 Performance Wins (the work that doesn’t always show up on podiums)
-Ava showed and finished her freshman season strong at Championships.
-Ali G had a solid opening QnD race and felt strong throughout.
- Michael beat his goal time in the Wafer.
-Jae also beat his goal time and executed well in the Waffle.

💥 Next Gen
One of my @ridekrew athletes raced @quickndirtymtb and crushed it.

Not every win shows up as a podium, but the progress, confidence, and consistency behind these performances matter just as much and makes so stoked for each athlete.

This season flew by so fast. I’m so proud to have finished P5 at Champs in frosh/soph girls. I was really anxious before the race and almost didn’t even race, but I’m so proud of how it turned out. I’m incredibly grateful for the @socalleague -for the friendships, my amazing coaches, and all the staff who made this season so special. I’m excited to keep working and push for even better results next year in JV2.

@socalleague State Championships weekend was an absolute blast! It was great having Saturday to hang out with friends and teammates in our little village. Sunday’s race didn’t go as well as hoped but still a solid effort on a tough course with even tougher competition and ended up P14. Our team managed to pull 3rd in the School Based team comp! The SoCal season is officially over and really going to miss the team and especially the fellow Lady Nighthawks. It was also nice being able to drop our PCT Trail Magic cooler off again. #moregirlsonbikes #mountainbiking #statechamps #socalleague #trailmagic

Race 5 of the @socalleague 2026 season finishing in 5th! My legs weren’t feeling great and I took a little spill but I still managed push through. One of my biggest challenges was little opportunities to pass on single track but I managed to make a few passes and claim that podium spot! Thanks so much for the support from @foothilldirt
And thanks for the tuff glasses @carson_bagley01
