𝗬𝘂𝗽!!! It rolls. But I see the hinge in those hips as much as you do. So, 𝗬𝘂𝗽!!! They hinge too.

I’ll use either one to 𝗰𝘂𝗲 a 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 into an active conversation with their 𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 and 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘀.

What you see stay constant in this short clip is my 👣 rooted to the mat. That’s actually my whole internal focus. #rootthefeet and 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲. It 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 automatically. Go back and 👀 look again.

👀 Now off to your #tower or #springboard and give it a go.

The mental gymnastics of working out 🏋️‍♂️ is a real thing.

I’m going to be real with you: the only time you EVER want to hear me talk anything mindset is when I’m being motivational af.

Otherwise, you want NO part of it.

I get it. No one wants to talk about how much of a literal mind f-ck it is to put your body intentionally into a place of stress.

We wanna talk even LESS about what happens to our brains when we put ourselves in that place of stress and then…we…FAIL.

How do you talk to yourself in those moments? When the workout 🏋️‍♂️ became a dumpster fire 🔥 and handed you your a$$.

I hope you’re kind.

Because we never fail. We only find new starting points 💪.

I had to literally stop 🛑 my class the other day.

I was SO MF frustrated 😡 it wasn’t even funny.

You wanna know why?

All I saw were EGOS getting in the way of progress.

I saw clients who KNOW BETTER let what their ego thought they should be doing running the show.

✔️ that’ll get you hurt fast

✔️ that’s not going to get you the change you want any sooner

You know what else it’ll do?

⭐️ it’ll make you feel like you SUCK because you weren’t doing what you thought you “should be able to do”

⭐️ it’s going to make you feel like you’re not good enough, so why keep going?

Working out 🏋️‍♂️ is about pushing yourself. It IS about putting yourself in a vulnerable position so you can see positive change.

But even in those spaces, you HAVE to do it from a place of respect for your body.

Adding movement into your life doesn't have to be about dieting or transforming your body to look a certain way.

We can move our bodies because we want to become stronger.

We can move our bodies without a goal attached to it.

We can move our bodies because it feels good.

We can move our bodies because it heals.

We can move our bodies because it improves our mood, our minds, and our life.

We can move our bodies because we like the workout. It doesn't have to be painful, it doesn't have to burn until you cant walk, you don't need to be yelled at during it, it doesn't have to be easy or hard it can be either one you want. You can choose movement that you enjoy and for no other reason than that.

Movement is medicine in more than one way. We should be able to choose movement because we like it not because we need to lose weight or look a certain way.

Movement is for every Body.

Don’t discount mat workouts 🏋️‍♂️.

When you don’t have a lot of time to workout 🏋️‍♂️, I know you’re trying to get the most out of what time you DO have.

You want to bust your a$$ so you know you’ve done everything you can in 15 or 20 minutes.

While I’m here for ALL that hard work, sometimes the hardest work we can do is the work we think is the easiest.

It’s the low impact, core focused, work. The work that makes you focus more on the minute movements of your body, increasing your awareness of how you move so your hard workouts 🏋️‍♂️ can be that much stronger.

Most people overvalue
⚡️Sweating
⚡️Soreness
⚡️Muscle Burn
⚡️Feeling exhausted after a workout

Most People Undervalue
⚡️ Proper Technique
⚡️ Progressive Overload
⚡️ Sufficient Rest
⚡️ Daily Walking
⚡️ Good Breathing

We love the wisdom of @syattfitnes we threw in the last one because breathing in Pilates is just as important as the workout.
