Couple goals! Arizona Cardinals TE Teagan Quitoriano, who scored two touchdowns in Week 5, incorporates pilates in his weekly routine with his wife, Issy, who is a pilates instructor. Teagan does pilates once a week during the NFL season, and 2-3 times a week during the offseason to strengthen the core and help with hip mobility.

Feet in straps at the end of class? Let’s talk. 👀

So many newer instructors place it in the cool-down, almost as if it’s only about flexibility or relaxation. But here’s the truth: feet in straps is an integral part of spinal stabilization, trunk control, and shoulder stability. I have to admit one of my most favorite part of a class.

When I sequence, I like to place it towards the end of the first third of class — right after arms supine, 100’s and coordination Why?
✨ Hip release
✨ Lumbo-pelvic stabilization
✨ Preps pelvic floor for inversions
✨ Sets the stage for long spine ❤️

And speaking of long spine massage… why do we call it a relaxation exercise? It’s one of the most demanding flows for spinal articulation, core, glutes, and hamstrings. Definitely not just “feel good.”

What about you — do you put feet in straps at the beginning or end of your class? Let’s discuss 👇🏻

Learning Together 🫶🏼🧏‍♀️ 🫶🏼

The deeper I dive into my practice, the more I fall in love with it all over again. Training reminds me this is truly a lifelong journey— each layer reveals something new. Sharing it with like-minded souls is the 🍒 on top.

Pilates is a practice. To build strength, flexibility, and mobility—you have to practice. It’s not about capturing the perfect video or snapping a cute story, it’s about showing up, being present, and moving together. ✨

I feel so honored to mentor the incredible women in my community—watching them grow, learn, and step into their own power fills me with pride. Grateful every day to give back and help guide the next generation of teachers. 💫
