Life’s been busy lately, so I haven’t been posting much. Figured it was time to share a new addition to the safe.

I’ve been out of the shotgun game for a while, but after seeing @hoosier.defense, @clear_creek_1779, and @freedomshots1776 posting their shottys, I knew it was time to change that.

I’ve gone back and forth between semis and pumps over the years. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but growing up shooting pump guns, I’ve always leaned toward them out of familiarity. I’ve owned 590s in the past, and they’ve never let me down, so picking up another one was a no-brainer.

The next range trip will be dedicated to patterning a variety of buckshot and slug loads, so my shoulder might have a few things to say about that weekend. I thought I’d try printing some snap caps as well using some shell heads I pulled apart.

For now, I’m trying out the @langdontactical Fastback red dot mount. We’ll see how I like it, but I might eventually switch things up with a @chiselmachining folding stock and red dot mount.

More to come once I get it out to the range.

Yesterday was #glocktober 23, but the day got away from me before I could grab a #pocketdump pic. So here’s what’s been getting carried the last couple of days.

Gen 5 Glock 23 riding in @jmcustomkydex and loaded with 180gr Gold Dot. This thing has been a really solid carry gun, and I continue to be impressed with what Glock did with the Gen 5 .40s.

The history is rich, the heritage runs deep, and the craftsmanship speaks for itself. True American artistry isn’t just built to be admired — it’s built to stand the test of time. 🇺🇸 @nighthawkcustom

Okay these grips turned out a great match for a simple parkerized gun. I’m almost wishing I had another green pair to do this to! I didn’t expect this at all but a good piling up and getting this gun to be a beater I think she is ready to roll.

Super 38 Thursday
This Tisas is a special build from my compadre @the_45acp_guy . Nighthawk internals, nitre blued vintage Colt parts, Pete’s hand-checkering on the front strap, plus giraffe grips. Looks great and shoots great. I’m incredibly proud to own it!
MAKE SUPER 38 GREAT AGAIN!
