☠️ SCAMMER READ BELOW ☠️ On September 28, 2020, @selling_knifes_ (Haden) made an exposure post addressing his experience with @samnickybali in trading his Benchmade 51 and $120 for a Replicant. [IMG 1] The BM51 and $120 were sent to 10233 Mission Gorge Rd. Apt e109, Santee, CA 92071, USA. The tracking number given to Haden was for a package which shipped to Pittsburgh, PA. [IMG 2] The scammer noted that his PayPal is ebobian23@gmail.com and recognized both @marunong_ and @locho.619 as references. [IMG 3]. When confronted, the scammer noted that the Pittsburg, PA address was not his real address. On September 29, 2020, in the very early AM’s, @baliflips_ , @bearstonks , and myself (Aro) created a group-chat to assist in tracking down this scammer’s real information. @bearstonks and @baliflips_ brought important information to the table which assisted in linking @marunong_ and @samnickybali as the same individual. Sam was attempting to sell a Replicant which happened to be the exact same Replicant Maruno owned and posted about. The Replicant was anodized by @bali.ixn , and upon reaching out, @bali.ixn was able to provide evidence that the PayPal Maruno used was the exact same one which Sam used, further linking the accounts as the same person. [IMG 4] Continuing off of September 29, 2020, in the very early AM’s, I (Aro) confronted the scammer. [IMG 5] Upon threatening to reach out to the police and his school, he confessed to being the scammer. [IMG 6 + 7] He was very apologetic after being pressed into confessing, and shipped the BM51 and returned the money the very next day. His attitude differed among flippers. When I messaged him, he was very respectful. When others messaged him, he was either very aggressive or nonchalant unless his personal information was involved. [IMG 8] Make of his behavior what you will. Ian Thiringer-Markus attempted to use multiple addresses and different Instagram handles to cover his behavior. His real address is being used, however, tread carefully when dealing with anyone of the Santee & El Cajon areas. Use a middleman for trades. Pay with PayPal G&S. Always ask for references.
