We are loving this new mural on the alleyway of @skalbeerhall. This whimsical nod to all things Ballard (Yes, of course, Jimothy too!) was created by the talented Burr Johnson. And speaking of local artists, it's the #secondsaturday @ballardartwalk this weekend. Come explore art, cute shops and all of our fabulous restaurants on Saturday. ArtWalk runs from 6 - 9 PM and is FREE!

The Pacific Northwest is secretly guarded by giant, benevolent trolls spread across cities and forests. Created by renowned environmental artist Thomas Dambo, these towering, whimsical sculptures are crafted out of recycled pallets, scrap wood, and fallen branches. They aren’t here to scare us—their mission is to remind us that trash has immense value and to inspire us to protect our planet.

Special Ballard Art Walk Kids Night Out, featuring local artist Greg Pergament (aka Ski)!

Join Tumbles on Saturday, October 10th from 5:45 to 8:15 PM for an evening of creativity and movement. Tumbles is thrilled to host artist Greg Pergament (@urbanpergs), who will be displaying his vibrant pop art and leading a hands-on drawing workshop to teach campers how to create his signature graphic flowers!

While parents explore the neighborhood art walk, kids will unleash their artistic side before burning off energy with gym games, obstacle courses, and open play. Drop off the kids for an inspiring night of art and fitness!

Jeff Kleinsmith designed some of independent music’s most memorable records - and a whole lot of the stuff that came with them.

Marco Collins made sure people heard the music.

For more than three decades, the two have had a hand in how Seattle music looked, sounded and made its way out into the world. Quietly in Jeff’s case. Not always so quietly in Marco’s. 😎

On September 12, they’re gonna go ahead and share a room.

YOOOOO… here are the reasons it is wise to spend the entire weekend at our joint:

TONIGHT! We will be featured on @guyfieri ‘s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives (9pm PST), and hosting a watch party in our back bar @tildaslounge (NOTE! Guy Fieri will NOT be at our shop tonight. We filmed it a month ago. It’s just airing for the first time tonight and we’re hosting a watch party.)

SATURDAY- we will be hosting a puppy adoption event in conjunction with the @seattleanimalshelter to find forever homes for a bunch of sweet puppies! Come enjoy drink specials on the patio while you cuddle all the sweet doggies! And maybe adopt one!

SATURDAY NIGHT- it’s Ballard art walk and we are fortunate enough to be featuring the works of the very talented @thereallizmoody !!! Come through and check it out!

MARCO Collins has spent a lifetime obsessing over music - and somehow made a career out of it.

As music director and on-air personality at Seattle’s 107.7 The End in the ’90s, he helped break Nirvana, Beck, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Garbage and countless others. He later spent years at KEXP and has worked as a DJ, curator, interviewer, music executive and professional loudmouth.

Featured in the documentary The Glamour & the Squalor, Marco is still championing new artists and proving that an unhealthy obsession with music can, in fact, be a pretty great career.

Come hang with us THIS SATURDAY for @ballardartwalk and the continuing wonderful saga of our Jeff Kleinsmith exhibition!
