After finally getting over one of the worst bugs I’ve had in a while, feeling so grateful reflecting on 2025. A year that brought so much happiness, many friendships, and growth. Here’s some highlights throughout the year. Looking forward to 2026 and all it brings!
Also a very mini Nutcracker dump at the end. Another year of surviving 11 snow scenes and 14 flowers. So lucky to do what I love.

@carmeldancefestival memories from this week. My heart is full!

Just got back from the beautiful Carmel Valley, California where I was on full scholarship with the Carmel Dance Festival! So much dancing was met with the most incredible dance humans/friends from all over the world. Getting to work with @sidrabelldancenewyork , be in a new work by @eddarnold of @tanztheaterwuppertal , taking hip hop and witnessing @hassan_syed creation, and performing for @leandro.glory.damasco.jr was everything. grateful for a week of creation, experimentation, class taking, risk taking and performance. My heart is full!

(full photo dump will be on my facebook because I can only pic 20 here unfortunately😭)

✨ Meet Lindsay Lykins, one of our 4th Annual Choreography Fellowship Finalists! ✨

A movement artist, dancer, and choreographer from Roseville, California, Lindsay began her training at Northern California Dance Conservatory, where she discovered her love for communication and expression through movement.

A graduate of USC, Lindsay holds a BFA in Dance from the Glorya Kaufman School and a BA in Psychology from Dornsife. Her work merges artistry and empathy — fostering creative spaces that prioritize collaboration, curiosity, and holistic well-being for the mind, body, and soul.

We’re thrilled to recognize Lindsay’s vision and voice as part of this year’s fellowship finalists!

Earth, I love you so utterly. I love the way your mountains rise, the way your deserts stretch, the shock of cold in your waters. I love the lava that burst out of you, the trees that speak beneath you, the gleeful pops of color that remind me joy still exists. I love the humans who walk across you - different in culture, age, skin, gender, sexual desire, and ability. I am grateful for the chance to learn from them, each one carrying a piece of you inside. You are alive and you are sacred.

America, I’ve been fortunate to explore your country from West and East, North and South, still offering corners I have yet to meet. You were never perfect - and neither am I. And I loved that I could learn from the flaws as much as the gifts. But now, I am devastated that I don’t recognize you anymore.

Earth, I’m sorry our country is failing you. I’m sorry that our country is erasing the history of slavery and Native Americans. I’m sorry that it is censoring and punishing those who speak truth. I’m sorry that our country is gutting the arts. I’m sorry that our country is awarding the ones of white skin, of heterosexual orientation, of cisgender, of able body, and of extreme wealth. And I’m sorry that not more of these people in this awarded position fight for you.

I promise you, Earth. I will go on loving you. I will go on standing with the communities our country tries to erase. I will not glorify a man who dreamed of destruction. I will keep making art in your honor - art that reveals your brilliance and unmasks the rot of capitalism.

Earth, what I’m saying feels like the most basic truth of being human, doesn’t it? And yet here I am, in a country where so many are against this. Where words like these could one day be enough to take away my passport.

Earth, I grieve your collapse as it unfolds, and still I root myself in your soil - loving you, fighting for you, refusing to let go.
