Announcing the Allure of Dark Winter Spirits book tour! Tania Yager and her one of a kind book will be in Kitsap County to kick off winter festivities. There are several opportunities to meet her, attend a lecture, participate in a workshop and get your book signed.

“Yager invites readers to walk beside her as she meets the Alpine Krampus in the snowy streets of Munich, seeks out the Italian witch La Befana in Rome, and revisits her own bittersweet ties to Wales through the ghostly Mari Lwyd. With humor, reverence, and wonder, she explores how these haunting figures serve as spiritual teachers and cultural bridges. Blending personal adventure with rich historical lore, Yager shows how American culture is beginning to embrace these ancient beings and how doing so can reconnect us to mystery, community, and our own complex humanity.”

This is a book for seekers, storytellers, and anyone curious about the strange beauty of the dark season and the spirits who dance within it.

This book tour is sponsored by @twistedheartpuppetworks the @witchingoutloud podcast, @starsandmoontarot and @krampus_bremerton

Our Kitsap Book Crawl!

We had planned a little bookish adventure on our way to Seattle to see Rebecca Yarros, stopping at some of our favorite independent bookstores along the way: Book’em, Salmonberry, Verse & Vine, Liberty Bay Books, Away with Words, Ballast Books & TBR Mobile Books.

While we were disappointed to hear that Rebecca had to cancel her Seattle appearance due to a family emergency, we completely understand that family comes first and are sending her and her family lots of love.

So, we decided to make the most of our day and turn it into something we love just as much: supporting independent bookstores, discovering local authors, and celebrating the incredible book community right here in Kitsap.

There’s something magical about walking into a local bookstore and leaving with a new story, a new author to love, and usually a few more books than you planned to buy.

Here’s to local bookstores, local authors, and all the stories that bring us together.

Kitsap book lovers, what bookstore should be our next stop?

september 21st somehow marked five YEARS as an indie bookseller. i genuinely have no idea how it’s been this long, and the amount of cool, life-changing things i’ve gotten to do because of this job is just. wild.

these are just some some silly little snapshots of random moments i’ve had throughout the five years (it was very hard to just pick a few) and things that i’ll look back fondly on forever.

i love books and reading and being queer and selling silly little queer books to people that ALSO love them. i can’t wait to see what else is in store 🥺
