Saw my friend Kari Lyn perform at a live music event hosted by herself and she was great. My friend Emma Della Rossa did a guest performance and she sounded great too. Saw a friend of mine which was nice. Also met someone new. The music sounded great. I liked the songs. There were arts and crafts which was nice. Also a tarot card reading which was cool. The theme of the event was full moon. The vibes coming from the event felt really great and filled with great positive energy that made everyone excited and cheering. I had a great time at the event.

Eejungmi is an illustrious producer and DJ with a mysterious indie past - we’re really looking forward to what this tastemaker has in store!

When did a simple mom playdate become a $150 outing? 🎃

Between parking, admission tickets, activities, and overpriced snacks, even a trip to the pumpkin patch can turn into an expensive day out. And it’s not just about pumpkin patches. It’s becoming harder to find places where moms can gather, kids can play, and friendships can grow without spending money at every turn.

This is the enshittification of third spaces: the places outside our homes and workplaces where community takes root are increasingly designed around consumption.

☕ In Toronto, Bampot House offers an alternative with its pay-by-the-hour cafe model, while Mayil Cafe brings people together through karaoke, trivia, and comedy nights.

And closer to home, libraries, parks, and playgrounds remind us that some of the best places to build a village are still accessible to everyone.

At Kula, we believe Bay Area moms deserve more opportunities to build community without every meetup becoming another expense. Sometimes, all you need is a park, a few kids running around, and another mom who has time to talk.

We need more places to gather, not more reasons to spend.
