Huge thank you to @bamsfest and everyone who was in collaboration with Play Plae ‘26 Bams Fest. Thank you for allowing me to capture and be apart of this year’s festival. Not only was this an experience for myself but I was able to bring my brother @shizzo3 along for the ride where he was able to interview and meet the magnificent @djjazzyjeff. Each one teach one thats what this is all about. Thank you to @axestrumentals for providing the tunes for this project and a mega shoutout to Catherine Morrison for trusting the vision.

Thanks @catherinetmorris & @bamsevents for the 2026 “Rock Her Crown” award … and declaring that I’m “An exemplary queen, whose presence unwavering purpose, vision, and audacity brings community together.” My baby girl presented me with this crown on her wedding day when I walked her down the isle and it was an honor to have the opportunity to wear it 8 years later #bamsfest #rockhercrown #queen #legacy #love 👑🫅🏽🙏🏾🌟❤️✊🏽 BIG congratulations to my Fellow Queens honorees 😘

Brockton’s creative momentum is getting noticed.

GBYP President Isaiah Thelwell joined Catherine T. Morris of BAMS Fest, Inc. and GBH’s Jared Bowen on The Culture Show to talk Fuller After Dark — where it started, why it matters, and the joy it brought to Brockton the first time around.

This Saturday, we bring that energy back to Fuller Craft Museum.

Music. Art. Food. Activations. Community. Culture.

Tickets are available now — don’t wait.

“A Place Called Home” (ART) Exhibition Opening
June 25, 2026
6pm | Street Theory Gallery & Collective
541 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139
All ages welcome | ADA Accessible

“A Place Called Home” is a public exhibition showcasing archival photographs from Community Art Center’s early youth photography programs. This longstanding community-based arts organization encouraged young people to roam the streets of Cambridge with cameras in hand. They were empowered to document, and then develop their photographs in a darkroom at the Art Center, leaving a tangible trace of the human hand in every finished print. These images capture a bygone era, evoking memory and nostalgia while poignantly recording the fleeting nature of childhood and adolescence.

Community Art Center has been an integral part of Cambridge’s Port neighborhood since the Great Depression, serving as a creative hub and home for generations of Cambridge children, youth, and families. The organization has particularly served communities of color, through offering spaces of learning, gathering, and artistic expression.

This exhibit highlights life in Cambridge’s Port neighborhood, as seen through the eyes of Black and Brown youth who grew up here. The photographs offer an intimate glimpse into the history, stories, complexities, and profound love found within what was once one of Cambridge’s most diverse communities.
