POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The first year I did this, I donated all the money to Bananas Foster, so I figured I’d end this year’s donations the same way❤️

Bananas Foster is the official nonprofit of Banana Ball, raising awareness for foster care and celebrating the families who make a difference in children’s lives.

Thanks again to everyone that donated!

🌟 REVOLUTION OF THE WEEK 🌟

She helped build “The Greatest Show in Sports”: the dancing players, the sold-out stadiums, the game that has millions of fans cheering. But some of her most meaningful work happens far away from the spotlight, in her own home and in the lives of children who need a family. 💕

Meet Emily Cole (@emcole3) – co-owner of the @thesavbananas, co-founder of Banana Ball, and co-founder of @bananasfosterinc. After becoming foster parents and adopting two little girls into their forever family, Emily and her husband, Jesse, started Bananas Foster, so that at every game a foster family is celebrated in front of a stadium full of cheering fans. 🤍

Emily is a 1 Girl Revolution, and this is just a glimpse of her story. Hear the whole thing on episode #296 of The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, available on #Spotify, #YouTube, and everywhere you listen to podcasts, or at 1GirlRevolution.com/podcast 🎧

🎙️ NEW EPISODE – The 1 Girl Revolution Podcast, in video and audio 🎙️

You’ve probably heard of the Savannah Bananas: the dancing players, the sold-out stadiums, the baseball game everyone’s talking about. Today you get to meet one of the women behind it all. 🍌

Emily Cole (@emcole3) is co-owner of the @thesavbananas and co-founder of Banana Ball. She and her husband, Jesse, bet everything on the idea that baseball should be fun, and now they sell out MLB and NFL stadiums across the country. ⚾

But Emily’s story is so much bigger than baseball. In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, with a one-year-old at home and a business that was taking off, she and Jesse became foster parents. They later adopted two little girls into their forever family, and that love grew into @bananasfosterinc. Now, at every single game, a foster family is called onto the field and cheered on by a stadium full of fans. 🤍

Emily Cole is a 1 Girl Revolution – a mom, a foster mom, a businesswoman, and a woman who used her biggest dreams for her deepest purpose. ✨

In honor of the major championship Banana Bowl happening tonight here’s one of my favorite photos from this June! 🤩
We were honored to be recognized in Savannah as the Banana’s Foster Family!! We had a blast hanging out with the teams, meeting everyone, and watching our first Banana ball game!! They truly put on a spectacular event!
Thank you @bananaball @bananasfosterinc @thesavbananas @theindianapolisclowns for having us 🥹 I’ll never forget how kind and inclusive each and every person involved was to my 3 littles!!
Now, let’s play ball!!! Go bananas 🥳⚾️🍌

I went through my Savannah Bananas (that I cover for On Sports Illustrated) pictures to make this video and got distracted remembering half the stuff that happened.

What a season. I’ve had a blast meeting the players, interviewing the people behind the show and getting to know so many fun people along the way.

Thanks to everyone who stopped to talk, took a picture or shared their story with me. Covering the Savannah Bananas and Banana Ball has been a pretty great excuse to meet some wonderful people.

Which moment would make YOUR season highlight reel?

Watch how @theemmaslater completely trusts @jacksonolson_ to hold her by the arm when she drops and again when she does two drop spins. He’s a baseball player for the @thesavbananas not a professional dancer!
She has to trust he is competent to do the move and not drop her
She has to trust that he cares about her well being and safety and literally has her back

Knowing when and how to trust someone is one of the most important skills we can develop.

Oh and it’s Jackson’s 29th birthday today if you want to send him some props tonight at 5pm PT/8pm ET by texting Jackson to 21523 (up to ten times)

I’ve never watched @dancingwiththestars before, but as a huge fan of @bananaball and @bananasfosterinc I’m now a fan of watching this season and cheering for Jackson and Emma (they are also super fun to watch here with their hilarious videos)
