I climbed 700-900 year old cliff dwellings today @bandeliernps !!! It was probably one of the coolest things ever!!!

Nomadic hunter/gatherer activity dates back nearly 11,000 years!

I geeked out soooo hard today! 🤓 I DEFINITELY recommend seeing this monument! It’s just too, too cool 😎

It's been a busy couple of weeks. I capped it off with some of my favorites and a birthday celebration.

I'm so lucky to have so many amazing friends, especially my Colorado adventure ladies. We spent a few days at this New Mexico hot spring, venturing out to explore Bandelier National Monument and shop in Taos and New Mexico. Lots of relaxation, great food, and laughs.

Thank you to each of them for putting up with me, even through a head cold (I felt fine in the hot spring! Shoulda just stayed there!)

Cheers to another spin around the sun!

Our latest adventure: Santa Fe, New Mexico 🏜️

It was my first time and I'm in love with the landscape, the architecture and the vibrant presence of Indigenous culture. I've never been to a US city like it.

Highly recommend visiting Bandelier National Monument and @upayazencenter. I had the treat of sitting zazen alongside the amazing @elenabrower.

I can see why Georgia O'Keeffe moved here to create her epic art, and why so many others have too. The beauty and energy is truly special.

In gratitude 🙏🏼 🪶🩵

Another Senior camping trip is in the books. Thank you to the Seniors who organized it as their CAS project and those who attended. Between Bandelier National Monument, the Valles Caldera, and the abundance of S’mores, there were memories made. 🌲🏕️🔥

Bandelier National Park and Santa Fe are definitely worth adding to your bucket list 🥾☀️

Bandelier National Monument is known for its ancient cliff dwellings, rich Native American history, and stunning natural landscapes, offering visitors a glimpse into the lives of the ancestral Pueblo people. We’ll wrap up the trip exploring the charm of Santa Fe!

This trip is suitable for beginners or folks looking for an adult summer camp experience. Trade friendship bracelets, sing songs around the campfire, and pick out constellations in the night sky, all while learning critical camping and outdoor skills.

New Mexico was incredible. Balloon Fiesta, and then a lot of solo hiking near Santa Fe and Taos, with a few creepy crawlies along the way.

WHO DECIDED THE PUBLIC COULDN’T ACCESS ITS OWN PRESERVE?

Across the National Park System, visitors drive scenic roads, explore vast landscapes, and experience public lands by vehicle.

At Valles Caldera, vehicle access to the interior is limited by reservations, daily pass limits, seasonal closures, and gates.

The Trust-era management structure helped shape this approach. The National Park Service took over in 2015.

So who has actually reexamined these restrictions—and what evidence justifies keeping them?

An 89,000-acre National Preserve should not have its access policies treated as untouchable simply because they were inherited from an earlier management era.

Protect the resources. Manage responsibly. But explain why the public is still being denied meaningful access.

REGIONAL OFFICE: IT’S TIME TO ANSWER THE QUESTION.
