Finally got to visit the ol town of Alamosa (plus Hooper and others) and the great sand dunes. Let's say I had some connections to help me get down there 😏

We crammed a whole bunch in them 1 and 1/2 days. had a lot of fun with y'all!

This is one of the custom tracks I wrote for our award winning short film, ‘2012’, end credits.

This was such a blast to work on, both because everyone involved is super talented and kind hearted humans, and because well…I love what I do 🥰

Watch the full short film on YouTube (link in my stories) and hit me up for score work or custom tracks ✌️

This is more than an award to me…it’s a sign that I have been going in the right direction all along 🙏

Six years ago I chose to bet on myself. I walked away from a life that was dissecting me and went for my heart’s calling anyway, even when I was told I wasn’t good enough. In the beginning my dear friends @nickbozzelli, @johnruppaudio, @jessmargera, @thecolorfred, @americasbassment, & @tylerjstroetzel (to name a few) believed in me and helped me learn the ropes and gave me opportunities so that I was able to release professional recordings, collaborations, and officially begin my new chapter under the name ALTARVIOLET…I am eternally grateful for you all.

I’ve always loved writing and performing, but film and trailer music had been calling me too. I didn’t think I knew how to compose…I decided to just try it & instantly fell in love. As a girl who fell in love with the Terminator 2 theme song as a teenager & grew up in a world of the drama of musical theater, I had been harboring a ton of cinematic music in my heart…now I could express it.

Maybe it’s delulu or maybe it’s chutzpah, but I started contacting every company I thought was doing incredible work in the trailer/film industry. Thankfully, Chad at @thecrystalcreative took a chance on me and has had my back ever since.

A few months ago I followed a nudge to go to a film mixer here in Colorado Springs. My husband (my biggest cheerleader) & I went and WOW did my social anxiety take over. I didn’t think I was going to get the courage to talk to anyone until the magical & talented @catalinadominick turned to me & said ‘I love your hair’. The rest is history.

Our short film ‘2012’ won Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Actor, & Best Score at @kickassfilmfest last night…out of 43 amazing teams.

This was my first official score, & I’m so grateful to @catalinadominick, @luckystarsfilm, & @themrmeister who trusted me & welcomed me in. And to @dchavez228 & @14kjacob who are building a home for film here in Colorado…thank you. A wave is coming.

Congrats to all the nominees and winners . Honored to be in it with you. And @novameets you are an incredible host 🙌

Very excited for what’s next✨
