Happy record release day to Wagging. Their sophomore album is out today! 9 songs in just under 30 minutes. A kinetic 9-track effort that foregrounds tangled guitar textures and adept rhythm section arrangements without concealing their candy-coated melodies and intricate lyricism. Catch on their release shows, and watch the lyric video for Comfortable from the album!

Wagging are back with “Empty As Sky,” the first taste of their upcoming self-titled record. Big, tangled guitars, sharp melodies. You’ll have to buy this at your local music store … if you got one in mind??

“Empty As Sky” is out now and added to our New Tunes for Hip Dads playlist on Spotify.

Asheville’s Wagging return with “Empty As Sky,” delivering another perky yet jagged preview of their October self-titled LP cut right out of the Drop of Sun hitmaking factory. Dripping with Bratmobile grit and sharp Rilo Kiley nods, it’s tidy, clever grunge that acts like a soft-furred tiger cub—cute on the surface, but more than ready to draw blood.
